  2. New Zealand's PM's got nothing on American Congressmen. War start America's torpedoes sucked, didn't work, wouldn't work for almost a year, they would do all sorts of stupid stuff like go BOINK against ship sides, ship undamaged and torpedo wakes clearly pointing the way the US subs would get depth charged. When talking to a reporter a Congressman stupidly said the Japs were setting their depth charges too high & subs were escaping, the Japanese can read also, American Subs started to get lost with all hands on board.

  3. Japan should’ve known better than to attack Pearl Harbor. Less than 25 years earlier they saw what happened when Germany committed acts of war against the US It took the US more than a year from declaration of war to large scale deployment of men and materials, but then it took only about 6 months to win a war that had been a stalemate for several years.
