it can be worth to buy 7900xtx but at MSRP i saw 7900xtx selling in the Netherlands for 1500euro so big NO for me , even i wanted to Switch to AMD this time . I’m extremely disappointed. I’ll wait for 4090ti then see benchmarking results and probably buy one
Marcus, I've always been NVIDIA. When I purchased my card ,prices where high and could only afford a RTX 3060. Suitable for what i play at the moment.
If you have an AMD CPU then an AMD GPU is the only choice.
If these manufacturers are gonna start making cards the size of cinder blocks, they should all come with a GPU brace or support stand. I figure they owe us for charging us these obscene amount of money.
the best GPU to buy now is RX 6900 XT only.
10 percent power savings vs 10 percent more fps
what case fans do you run with or recommend for performance and noise
Tonight on PC Centric, Marcus has a feeling, Marcus opens a PC and Marcus fondles a card. queue top gear theme
which 4k monitor is he using?
Green all day every day
I would take the reference model for sure. Paying $100 extra for a 5% increase in performance on average is not even close to worth it. I have a reference RX 6800 XT and while I did pay way too much for it, it just works in every game that I play and its performance is nothing short of breathtaking. The 16GB frame buffer pretty much guarantees that I won't encounter the same problems with it that I did with my R9 Furies, that problem being the GPU having ample performance but hindered by its 4GB frame buffer. Sure, HBM is wickedly fast but it's always better to have more RAM that is a bit slower than less RAM that's faster because while some games demand a certain amount of VRAM in total, no game has a VRAM speed requirement.
I'm getting 7900xt due to playing 1440p even with some RT on its going to be able to run all the games I want to play. Thanks for the comparison!
Answered 7900XTX with overbuilt cooling.
The XTX is selling for $1250 locally where I live , I might as well buy a XTX that is cheaper internationally or buy a 4080 for $1250 locally…
Neither, both are rubbish value. 2 weeks ago literally everyone said how bad the 4080 price was. Now it's a legitimate consideration against the XTX.
none of these cards are good for RT, thats if you are happy with a 1200 usd card at 60fps
saw a few Powercolor 7900XT at my local microcenter. $900 and faster than both 3090/3090Ti isn't really all that bad. The XTX however was nowhere to be seen lol.
And if Nvidia Mark down their 4080, I believe AMD can easily do that as well because their hardware platform are based on a cheaper platform to build while Nvidia will be gasping for profit because they were taking the expensive platform to build for their ray Tracing.
Okay but the BenchMarcus segway was perfect!
Great video. Being able to buy a higher end card without the ethical issues and price gouging from NVidia is a win in my book.
And according to the benchmarks: the 7900 xt is the GOLD STANDARD for mid tier set ups right now. You're not spending over $1k USD on a graphics card and most monitors @ 4k 144hz do not need over 150 frames. The price per frame compared to the RDNA 2 cards is only £.50 more and that's a steal in this current market. Most non competitive, non content creators should jump on that card if they have the money. Your 12400f will play those games around those fps no problem too!
The XTX looking beautiful . You think that GPU will be pretty good for editing photos and videos, besides playing games?
I have a ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 12GB GDDR6X PCI Express 4.0 Video Card ROG-STRIX-RTX3080-O12G-GAMING would the XTX be better in terms of editing pictures and Videos at 4k?
NVidia has a top tech that AMD does not compete against but still wants to sell 1000USD+ GPUs. Because, why not
so a 7900 xtx is faster than a 4090 in mw2? The benchmarks don't reflect this from other sources
In Europe NVidia is cheaper do there is no question. I wouldn't buy any od this.
11:35 are you using an outdated version of the game? Shouldn't it be FSR 2.1?
Neither of those
NVIDIA. It's the better card.
What I love is that there is competition. There is not only 1 market.
1. So they wont be able to take time to release a new version
2. If there was only one market, they would set there own prices without worrying people would consider other stuffs
Im an absolute sucker for high quality visuals especially when theres rain or water and the lights doing some impressive reflective stuff so ill probably go with a 4080 plus it seems to have consistently better performance that AMDs card.
I really do like these reviews on graphics cards because I'm pretty close to pulling all things together to start my build. My question is, have you ever considered getting an Nvidia card directly from Nvidia? They actually seem to have the best price; especially when it comes to the 3090ti and 4080.
Essentially the answer is, like most things in life , it depends what you need and what your preferences are.
When do you think the 4080 will drop in price?
The only thing I notice about ray tracing is everything looks wet like it just stopped raining. Idk maybe it's just me but exaggerated wet reflections do nothing for me but lower fps.
Neither they are shit value compared last and previous , not worth it at all
I'm on my Ryzen 3900X still, ordered a 7900 XTX and power supply as i fear my trusty 650 Watts Bequiet Dark Pro 12 will not cut it ;). I will see what AMD announces at CES if and when X3D versions of the Ryzen 7000 CPUs will be released and then see if i upgrade CPU Mainboard and RAM too.
