  1. Turning fast travel in an MMO into microtransactions… what will they think of next.

  2. I wouldn't even have cared… If they'd just have added a first person mode. That's all I wanted, to explore a big, interesting open world with my character's own two eyes. It's easier to demonize corporations when they don't even make products you like.

  3. I have zero sympathy for anyone who gets suckered into this game. It is clear the game is made with the corporate mindset of extracting as much money as possible from players. There appears to be no love in making this game.

  4. The comedy of it all is even if they insist on paid QOL features, they seem to have skipped the chapter about *sneaking* them into the game in the GAAS playbook. You know, lest it backfire horribly in an inferno of player backlash by warning them in advance 😂 😂

  5. If its mmo and you want to pay to progress then you should be able to. And if you dont want to then dont. Someone who progresses quicker shouldnt effect your gameplay. Then about games that have memberships. A lot of those addons will push you passed people who doesnt have the membership. Lol I think people are more mad because they know they will end up spending money because they dont like knowing someone is leveling faster than them lol

  6. So they'll release as 'cosmetic only' then wait a few months to look good and rope in a broad audience only to pull the rug out once they've collected the upfront cost consumers pay. Classy.

  7. Well, at least they are being upfront and honest about their plan to milk it for the first few months to make sure all the reviews are out before they destroy anything that could remotely resemble an enjoyable game experience. Kudos to you devs and publishers, I'll be sure to sit this one out.

  8. I feel it is necessary to once again point out that Final Fantasy XI came out before WOW and even to this day has remained quite profitable WITHOUT the existence of a cash shop in game, and that's even after Sony and Xbox support for the game was dropped roughly 10 years ago. The game now only remains playable on pc and is perhaps one of if not the only viable option if you enjoy mmo's and still have a shred of self-respect. Just saying…
