I live on the east central coast of Florida. At best you will have only 3 1/2 hours in the Park.
Don…. I’m on your cruise. We don’t get to port Canaveral until Tuesday – we are at sea monday
Hey Don…instead of doing Disney find another excurtion more local to the port. Many of your viewers might want to see an alternative to "Disney". Maybe a beach or a combo tour closer to the port.
We watch videos to get ideas of things to try at various ports so give us an unexpected and cheaper idea. I'd be grateful!!!
It’s a Jewish Holiday. People are off that day who don’t celebrate.
Monday 9/26 is a Jewish holiday, the first day of Rosh Hashanah. My school district is closed that day. I assume that is why Disney has no reservations open for that Monday.
They probably shut it down to prepare for the Halloween decorations. Sorry it didn’t work out for you. When cruising from Orlando, I’ll pre purchase Disney tickets from now on. Thanks for sharing, Don.

The reason 9/26 is so busy is the schools are off that day. Annual pass holders and area residents will be in the parks in mass. You should be Happy you can't go. As for Royal Caribbean the reason they got such a "Great deal" for $107 is the logistics and time management you just pointed out. You know they worked that all out already as for the time and additional cost it will take along with park/ride time which would be minimal anywhere.
Another example of gouging by both companies. Vote with the Wallet and spend somewhere else.
We did this itinerary in May and I can tell you it’s is NOT worth trying to go to the parks while at this port. There is not enough time. We opted to go to Disney springs. We walked around, shopped and got a nice lunch and got back to the bus in time. This was less stressful and cheaper than attempting the parks.

What if you purposely end your cruise in Orlando and fly home from there?
Don – Regardless of the ticket price, availability, or theme park you do not have time to visit a theme park while on a cruise. It’s a risky decision and poor use of your day in Orlando.

The prices you pay for parks, is it worth it for 4 hours?
Just like any park you get to decide what to do and buy beside the admission ticket. This how it works at Universal and SeaWorld also. Everything else is add on!
September 26th is probably the 1st day they will have the Halloween decorations up.
25th no decorations, 26th completely decorated
Or September 30 is the premier of Hocus Pokus 2 on Disney+ they may be doing something special in the park for it starting that Monday the 26th

We live near Port Liberty, and have done this itinerary many times because we love Oasis class. However, we can't seem to get a straight answer as to why Royal can't get more time in Orlando. As you calculated, its just not worth getting off for a 6 hour window. Maybe you can find out.
Why do they say Orlando when it is Port Canaveral which is about 2hrs away

You couldn’t pay me $200 to walk around MK at the in of September! I live in Orlando and I don’t go to any park till at lest the being of November. It’s too dang hot! And we never go to Disney!
FYI people mover does not leave Disney World. It just tours Tomorrowland.

Fate, stay away from the overpriced jerks. Disneyland used to be such a magical place, took my daughter there several times and spent my 50th there 17 yrs ago! What a shame 😔

You seriously might have better luck just booking an uber to and from an attraction you want to see rather than waiting for any bus. And you can spend your hard earned money and time at so many better places there than the overpriced House of Mouse.

Don September 26th is a Jewish Holiday. It is a school Holiday for the 3 largest counties in South Florida, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. That is Why the 26th is booked.
If you're on Oasis you wont be in Port Canaveral until tuesday. Monday is a sea day so you should be able to book Magic Kingdom if you really wanted to go.
Why not take a tour of Cape Canaveral and the Space Center? it's closer to the ship and probably more educational? Just a thought.
We sent Disney a huge message when we sold all of our Disney stock and it felt so good !
I just looked and I can get a reservation for The Magic Kingdom on September 26th! In fact, it shows that I can get a reservation for ANY date and any Disney Park this month or next month (October). Usually, Annual Passholders are the ones who have less available dates than the resort guests or the guest tickets (e.g., one day tickets). I'm already irritated with Disney, but this isn't one of my reasons. Prices is a big issue… tickets, food, and room reservations are out of this world. Things like bus transportation to/from the airport is another. Guest services on the phone… they're good if/when you can get to them. But Disney doesn't have enough of them. Hundreds of minutes on hold… And they have entered the world of politics.
Mondays are always busy at Magic Kingdom. You wouldn’t ride many rides without Genie Plus. I definitely wouldn’t give Disney my money for a few hours.
My husband and I are on Oasis Oct 2nd. We’ll waive to you, as you’re getting off and we’re getting on. 😊
Kinda sucks but if you were to say to me. There is one day blacked out this week at MK which day is it. It’s Monday of course I have not been to MK on a Monday in years upon years
Don avid watcher of you and Tony. I am very excited to find out that you will be on the OASIS of the Seas the same as my wife and I . We would like to hang out with you if you have the time on your cruise. We also have cabana in Coca Beach if you would like to hang out there. Totally up to you. Go to Epcot food and wine. Skip Magic Kingdom. The food is great. You will have to wait hours for the Star Wars rides

Why we sold all our DVC and this family of 12 refuses to go back until they get rid of the reservation system! Ridiculous.
