  1. To be honest, I'm somewhat disappointed. Most deaths are the demolition of the main character's head. It seems that since the development of dead space, the creativity of game designers has fallen.

We could, for the sake of interest, be inspired by mortal kombat.

  2. Some are samey, but they look too real and uncanny due to GFX being so lifelike. They look almost like real life gore compared to most movies or video games. DS2 had more brutal ones and more fun ones. But they don't look so realistic. YT can't really capture what PS5 and RayTracing can do when you play. (Shame XSX and PC have missing effects and problems). All in all, not a bad game, decent 7 out od 10 for me, just not survival horror. Even TLOU2 is more scary on grounded. And RE7/REmake2 beat it by miles.
You are always moving forward in super linear fashion. It's handcrafted nice, however you don't get to linger around the areas to map them out and make best routes. Plus no puzzles. The ending is very rushed. Anyone on the verge, wait for sale for PS5 and wait for a metric ton of patches for XSX and S. Half missing RayTracing effects and very big FPS dips on Quality mode on XSX, like sub 20 fps. While PS5 is perfect. Completely avoid PC even for 5$.

  3. I'mma be blunt…besides the screams of agony the VA done justice here, its mostly just the same result regardless if its eye gouging, limbs dismemberment, face being ripped off and that one alien reference they did. I'm pretty sure the Dead Space series had more gruesome death scenes than this here.

Hell, a indie game company named Dark Room Games (or DRG) got way more graphic deaths that would have people have problem sleeping at night and one of their games "House of Velez" is getting a remake so ya already how surreal it will get.

the big score they got out of all these deaths is Jacob's reactions and screams.

  4. Could've been better if they mostly shown what happens AFTER they killed him instead of cutting to black…

You know, just like Dead Space where its more terrifying when you see your corpse just lying there letting it sink in that you just been killed and seeing the damage done to it?

And after once or twice its good, but showing the SAME injury model of the head being cut in half by things that doesnt even look like it could do that is lazy and cheap

And despite the creatures designs, the animations most of the time are just punching or stomping his face in, especially the creature with half of its body being a gaping mouth, and all it did was just stomped his head in – what a wasted oppertunity

What the hell happened, these are the same guys that made Dead Space

  5. Lots of really good animations but a lot of samey ones as well, I wish they didn't reuse the same model for the head being split diagonally so much because there's a lot of really brutal ones in the game

  6. Well, since they are not in EA anymore, they had to hire a lot of studios to do all of these. They did what they could. At least this is their work at its finest and not a pushed work for be developed in 1 year.

  7. Hottest take incoming, I guess. These are fine. They're gory, brutal, and his head does the funny slant a few times. Cool, whatever. These are *fine*. Isaac's head was attached to his body like a lego character but sure go off guys. There's a few reused animations. Like in Dead Space.

I think you guys are just mad because you're not shitting and pissing your pants because you're not 14 anymore.

  8. There is so much potential with that robot, it could rip you in half from top to bottom, rip your skin off or worse but it just punches your arms, legs and head off or just stomps on them. So much wasted potential on a huge strong robot.

  9. Bro ngl "the evil within" had better deaths than this dude. Like majority of this "deaths" avoid able if he had some common sense. No disrespect looks like a good game but so many of these deaths are so underwhelming to say the least. Hell even dead space had more variety. Hell even wax works from 1980 or something.☠️
