Airport Shuttle Station MOC

In anticipation of the new modular, I had to make some room in my city. This required that I move my airport shuttle station, but I decided to give it a few upgrades to help it stand out.

  1. To save space and open up the footpath, have the sky bridge cross the road and have a elevator at the end of the bridge, for disability access. No need to have steep steps. Plus your minifigures won’t get tired going up the stairs.

  2. The new station looks so great! Especially the moving bridge, it's such a cool idea to have at a metro station! Two suggestions I have are to add an elevator to access the station and for the block with the train track in it next time you make a MOC modular of something like that, give it some space at the back for the track to run through it. That would mean you would maximize your space to the max.

  3. It is not bad. Maybe if the width was a little less, it would look better. And add a little bit of color to it. I don't know. It is a good idea but it is just a bit off somewhere. I think it is the width.

  4. I think the new station looks great, Alex! The moving bridge is super cool — I might have to consider an idea like that for myself, actually. The overhead roof is neat, and I think since it's downtown, the station should be a bit flashy. Very well done!

  5. Any time I find I've got a space like that one with the curved track going across it, I just take it as a sign that it's time for a custom building. Or at least some sort of MOC to make it look like some spare space in a city. Could have parking spaces, utility stations, a small park, the entrance to a secret lair, or anything!

I think the train platform looks great! Very classically styled, and I love that. More good use of the railroad tracks. Definitely opens some more space. Also, play features like that extending bridge are just the best. 😀

  6. I love this style of video. Not a huge fan of the station covering. I think the stairs look a bit clunky too.. maybe put a glass covering over the station to make it look more modern. Kind of like the roof on the new train station lego put out earlier this year.

The moving bridge was a great idea!

  7. And I love what you did with the extendi-bridge. Good idea and neat engineering. My little boy was impressed. He loves the moving stuff. We built the 3in1 Top Gun style jet with the wings that move in and out and he loves it. Impressed.

  8. Good job dude, but why not just remove one of your duplicate green grocers? Also, I personally don’t think it really matters which side of the track the station is on, I have three stations in my own city for my monorail, but not all of them are on the door side. I do love the sliding bridge though. Either way, Awesome!

  9. I love the staircase, though I feel like you need one the other side of the road. Otherwise people trying to get into the station, and people leaving the station at the same time will face congestion. Equally maybe a faux elevator up to the station will help those who need it.

  10. I actually think the size of the roof works. What I do think might be beneficial is to alter the length of the platform. The roof as it stands dwarfs over the platform. It also couldn't hurt to add some white supports on the ends of the roof that run down to the ground and make the roof look and feel more secure.
