Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I’m your host Paul and this video we’re breaking down Ahsoka Episode 8.

Now last week saw Thrawn taking his first real defeat on Peredia after Ahsoka showed up to save Sabine and Ezra. Was a bit of a cope though cos man said he actually wanted to lose cos they’d now had enough time to fill up his ship the chimera. Clearly he’s been set on returning to the main universe which comes to pass during this entry. He also seemed pretty worried about Anakin who we’ll talk more about later on in the video.
Baylan ended up bailing on Shin and the two parted ways with her getting an offer she could refuse. I know the episode got a bit of hate online but they kinda needed it to set things up for this one so we can get into whats a big loss on the horizon for the new republic.
Anyway that should be you fully caught up and we begin by looking at the back end of the Chimera. I love how we get a lot of focus on its engines and you can see that the main two are destroyed.

My favorite detail is the Storm Troopers cracked armor filled in with gold, major Kintsugi vibes, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold. Keeping with the Lucas themes of the Samuri and Japanese culture. How's that for theory time 😅😅😅.

What I now hate about Disney's Star Wars is the twisting and corruption of biblical names with pagan myths. The utter blasphemy of "The Father and Son" as being two separate persons out of three persons of the erroneous Pagan Trinity Doctrine (tracable to Babylon) that runs contrary to the Biblical record of the One True and Living God of Creation, with a single person Godhead: the Lord Jesus Christ. One single God working thru three offices or ministries: The Fatherhood (God ABOVE us–in the Pillar of Fire), The Sonship (God WITH us–God made flesh in Jesus Christ and walked among us). And God IN us (that same Spirit that was in Jesus–the Spirit of the Father–now come back as the Spirit of Christ to get in His sons and daughters; the true Church).
GOD above us (The Father), GOD with us (the Godman Jesus) and GOD in us (the Holy Ghost), same person, one God–all the time. That is why Jesus (the flesh house God created) could say: "I (the created man) and my Father (the Spirit of God in the man) ARE ONE"–St John 10:30 KJV. And again: "If ye had KNOWN ME, ye should have KNOWN MY FATHER ALSO: and from henceforth YE KNOW HIM, AND HAVE SEEN HIM. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. How did Ezra manage to slip away on a shuttle after the jump back to to the familiar galaxy? Did I miss something? Wouldn't Thrawn have been notified of something like that and blast that thing to space dust?

I don't know if I like where the show is headed. Thrawn is the most tactical officer in the empire and galaxy. Relying on majikal nightsisters and zombie stormtroopers is like a military general commanding a bunch of musicians and nuns to fight a war.
The zombie action/choreography was…..not great
So tired of all these shows thinking that good triumphs over evil when that is not reality!

AHSOKA…The Woke Arm Pit of the Star Wars Universe.
This would all be so much better if it wasn't under the shadow of the Disney trilogy. It would seem like uncharted territory with a bright future, but we ultimately know this all becomes nothing.

I related heavily to Anakin in this series, the whole doing something wrong and going down a dark path, not quite being able to save everything you love, losing it all just to be watching the ones you love go on without you while you just hope they’re happy making the right choices
asshooker was barely in the show, same pattern as with kenobi and mandalorian, they were the minor characters extremely dumbed down to the level of keystone cops in their own shows, so the part could have been played by a piece of driftwood…anyhow, ashley eckstein is too white, and a suspected hetero and even maybe a closeted christian or something, so she playing the part was out of question
The show had no meaning besides demeaning Star wars
Wooow that ending was the worst of any star wars or marvel show yet. Dull fight scenes. The stakes didn't seem at all developed. Just a really boring end. No idea what the point of the two dark Jedi's was this entire season.
Marrok was "resurrected" and moved like he was alive, but the Shadow Troopers moved like something out of a Romaro film. I get the writers wanting to up the "horror" factor, but this was a little to on the nose and contracry. Plus. For someone with an imagination, unstoppable enemies is scary enough.
Ending almost reminds me of LOTR.
Wes Chatham was Enoch and we never saw his face? This was too big a role to just be a cameo or is Amos from the Expanse just a nervous about work and will take anything sort o fellow? Does he have so big a plot payoff in a later season he's willing to wait it out?

You could kind of see the pools beyond the father when it was zooming in or out
Maybe he's heard the legend of the mother but he's willing to subject himself to that same experience in trying to destroy everything and build from the rubble of what falls even if he himself can not see the final reformation

Should be called “the Sabine Adventures” not Ahsoka who was just a passenger in her own show. No story arc, slow tedious dialogue and Ashoka standing and sulking most of her scenes. And the brilliant Thrawn is so useless he keeps getting beaten by rag tag group of three. How is he any threat to the galaxy with the worst leftover storm troopers in the Galaxy. The End 🤷♂️
