Against all odds mean you went against a higher tier than you (I forgot what was the minimum, I think it's sub-tier related where a Cyclops 5 goes against a Uni 1), there's also against the impossible (I also forgot the minimum but I think this is where you go against a higher tier than you like a Saber going against a Griffin)
