Gruesome Discovery in The Ceiling – Our French Renovation, The Good Life

When renovating you are always going to find hidden treats lurking in dark cavities. Weโ€™ve found coins, photos and active bee hives and today was no exception. Unidentified remains have been uncovered.

We didnโ€™t expect a lath and plaster ceiling and it had obvious been there for over a hundred years. The plaster showed signs of a roof leak, but hopefully the beams were still in good condition.

The only way to find out was to crack out the crow bars. What we found wasnโ€™t welcomed.

  1. Happy birthday Mandy ๐ŸŽ‚ and hope you had a good one ๐ŸŽ and a nice ๐Ÿšฟ after the dusty ceiling experience โ˜บ. You were certainly hard at work! Hope you will be able to use the wooden pieces as firewood unless they are too dusty and dirty ๐Ÿค”
