God uses flawed people to reach a flawed world!

PETER

Fighting over “being the greatest”
Rebukes Jesus to His face

Cuts off soldiers ear

Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me
– Matthew 16:22-23

“My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.”
Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?”
– Mark 14:34 & 37

Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them.

– John 21:20-21

But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong. When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile believers, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn’t eat with the Gentiles anymore.
– Galatians 2:11-13

Peter’s flaws didn’t have the final say in his life
God’s grace and power had the final say in his life

Foundation of Flaws
How we see ourselves
How we see others
How we see God

Our relationship with Jesus redefines how we see everything

Grace – in Jesus
Truth – in Jesus
Unfailing Love – in Jesus

A daily relationship with Jesus turns our weaknesses into wins through God’s grace and truth
