Daniella Jacob (Against All Odds) is a senior at MHS and a frequent participant in Millburn’s FilmFest. Daniella began to develop her interest in film when she began taking film classes at the high school. She is also active in the North Jersey Jewish community, where she has been fortunate enough to meet several Holocaust survivors. This year, Daniella decided to combine her interests by making a documentary to share one survivor’s story. This project was incredibly meaningful to Daniella: telling such an important story meant taking the time to make sure that the details and visuals in the film were relevant, accurate, and paid service to the bravery and humanity of the film’s subject. Daniella is looking forward to attending Syracuse University next year.
