  1. I'm with you guys – I figured they cut the main event short & just didn't relay the message to Parker who was scheduled to do the hand/foot on the rope spot. It's on the ref to communicate that.

I was more preoccupied with Anna Jay's outfit adjustmens. A friend… who is female – which I only feel the need to point out because otherwise actual criticisms like this get eye-rolled… pointed out to me afterwards she adjusted her top 17 times during the match. Including after she took the KO kick on the finish… where in theory you're supposed to be knocked out. It only added to a very messy finishing sequence.

Gotta say I'm super let down by this Wembley build. I saw so many fantasy lineups with great dream matches or ideas of feuds that could be started/paid off… and none of them had Sting working with AR Fox or Aussie Open on the pre-show with Adam Cole/MJF or a 4 way women's title match that includes (possibly) The Bunny. Everything seems so rushed & random. I'm sure there's stories about matches that fell apart for various reasons (Bryan/PAC injured) but this is the biggest show in company history & so far it's shaping up like a Full Gear show where Tony didn't settle on a card until 3 weeks out & is waiting until the final week to dump 7-8 matches on us. IMO It's completely unacceptable we don't have actual matches announced for Kenny, Moxley & Jericho yet. 3 of their biggest names on their biggest show. There are rumors of who each person will be working with but that's not the same as shooting the angle & getting the announcement out there.

It's wild to think this company then has to follow-up a week later with another PPV which presumably will all be put together over 3 TV episode within 4 days. This entire summer should have been setting things in motion to pay off on both shows & mix in your all-star/dream matches. It's very underwhelming from my POV.

EDIT: Oh yeah forgot to ask… has AEW always had automatic rematch clauses? I feel like this was one thing Tony specifically said he wasn't a fan of & wouldn't have AEW to do. I can't think of any example in company history where it was used but tonight Excalibur just stated it so matter-of-factly re: Toni Storm getting a bye in that silly tournament.

  2. When MJF said the footage of him badmouthing the Mid West had been heavily doctored, I wish he had instead said "Taken out of context". Because that seems to be the trend whenever someone is caught saying something abhorrent lol.

  3. so access to the app is a bell media account that costs like $20 a month as that's what I do, that also comes with access to all TSN+ content. it would probably be way more useful if I was remotely a sports guy, but I'm really not. It IS cool that a good chunk of the AEW tv catalogue is up there though, even if the interface is terrible.
