Advanced Geeks & Gamers – S2E1 – Afterglow

The fellowship has enjoyed a temporary respite, somehow having managed to earn a reputation as heroes despite their questionable actions before. With several members having departed or having passed into the afterlife, our party has recruited two new faces to join on their adventure. They don’t have to wait long to find out what that adventure might be…

  1. Love the show. Only thing I can say is the music for this episode during the battle was not my favorite. Or at least a little variation I think. Just a friendly suggestion keep it up.

  2. I say this with love, but The Team was really missing their 6th party member (originally 3 guys & 3 ladies) and your tactical specialist/s. Also yeah, Erudi definitely came in CLUTCH with those villager archers.😁

  3. I checked this encounter on Kobold Fight Club and for a level 7 party this fight with 4 wraiths and 10 zombies was almost 3 times the threshold for a deadly encounter. Starting season 2 off with a rough one.

  4. Wasn't able to tune in to it live last night, because I still had a couple character updates to watch.

Finally caught up though. Eager to see what season 2 holds in store.

  5. A few rules corrections for the warlock. As a warlock, you have only 2 slots to use for your spells per short rest at this lvl. They, however, are always at the highest lvl you can cast. At 7th, you have 2 4th lvl slot. As a genie warlock, the extra damage is on top of whatever you hit things with the first time you hit. It doesnt change the entire attacks damage type. Efreeti adds, at 7th lvl, 3 fire damage on top of your eldrich blast, which does 1d10 force per shot, and with agonizing blast, does more based on your cha modifier.
She should probably pick more spells that have bonus actions , like summon spells, or defensive stuff like misty step.

  6. [First combat encounter begins]
Team: immediately erupts into internecine squabbling
Me: eats popcorn like the Michael Jackson meme.

Edit: (Literally hours later) Yeesh. That kind of thing turned into comedy gold last season. This just… pfooh. Kept going. But it wasn't funny, it was just kinda… Yikes. The proverbial soup sandwich. I believe in their ability to pull together as a team, and a leader will likely emerge, but it will probably be necessary regardless for a couple of them to reincarnate as tanks. You just can't count on every single member of your team fighting from stealth or at range without anyone to stand behind.

  7. We said Alistair has the harem, but really it's Luna with her gaggle of rouge admirers 😂
Update: I'm with Alistair, the team should have hugged the tree! Where do you think his luck in the battle came from!

  8. I'm hoping someone really steps forward to be more of a leader. Disparu and Ryan really did a lot to keep the group functioning (even if they did end up at odds). It will hopefully be Alastair so they don't just go full murder hobo again. They were more a group of brigands than adventurers last time haha.

  9. No longer interesting without the edge lord Kyle. Disparu was great as well.
These guys are just too tame, and polite. And the girls won't do anything unless prodded by a man. Fix this fast, or nobody will watch.
