A sneak peek inside RED SKY MOURNING: Prologue

On June 18th, the 7th novel in the James Reece Terminal List series is coming in hot!

What began as a traditional prologue became the longest, most in-depth opening in the series to date. It is not only an introductory glimpse into the world, characters and events of Red Sky Mourning that sets the stage for the main narrative, but it is also Jack’s nod to Tom Clancy whose debut thriller, The Hunt for Red October, celebrates its 40th Anniversary in 2024.

Jack invites you to listen to the prologue of RED SKY MOURNING read by Ray Porter.

Will there be blood? Count on it.

  1. Love the books. Pre-ordered the audio for this one. After hearing this, I'm ordering real books. I have all of the "actual" Clancy, Cussler and Hunter books in hardback. You will be the fourth author that I collect all the hardbacks for. Well done squid.

  2. Said I would not but hear (pun) I go listening – this outing I’m looking forwards to looks like we’re in for another entertaining and educating ride through the what could if and how from the mind of Mr Carr

  3. Just a suggestion. If you and your publisher got together to have an abridged version of your books that had all of the foul, vulgar language taken out and using the Lord’s name in vain, I would buy them through audible or whatever audio source they were available.

  4. I just saw a film clip of “Jack” pushing one of the warriors from World War 2 in a wheelchair to the Normandy Remembrance program. Thank you Jack for giving so much of yourself to all of us. Twenty years of service protecting us, the books that you have written, you are still serving this country opening our eyes to the truth. Thank you.
