A Series of Unfortunate Events – Surviving Mars: New Warsaw (Part 2)

We return to the angry red planet! Though Surviving Mars has not received any new content in almost two years, the modding community is still alive and well, and we’ll use that to our advantage. The Poland mission sponsor offers a new opportunity to experience the maximum difficulty challenge from a slightly different angle… and let’s be honest, it’s about time Poland got their time in the spotlight! Can we survive in this brutal challenge?

  1. The automated factories are pretty much objectively better in every way, the tiny bit of extra maintenance will always be far cheaper than keeping that many workers alive.
They're pretty blatantly overpowered, if you choose to use them. Humans are only good for research.

  2. I have been doing max difficulty but with chaos theory to randomize the techs and youbget some funny things. In my most recent game I ended up getting scrubbers super early but didnt geg subsurface heating until endgame. Couldnt bring people in till like sol 100 lol

  3. Just as backseat gamer i think the automation is to overpowered for the challenge of a difficult run. But i also think that Pravus didnt think it would be that powerfull, most likely more like the breakthrough tech, no workers but less output overall.

  4. Could you add a list or something with the mods you use, even if it slightly modded? I am enjoyin the series so far and I am glad to see someone playing surviving mars, still a fun game.

  5. i had a realization, the people who make for all mankind would probably love a moon game, mars dlc, and maybe even the moons of Saturn and Jupiter game for colonizing, love the show and i assume they would love some outreach to people who would play the games

  6. I would prefer RC Commanders en mass over Drone hubs on a high difficulty playthrough. I've done similar runs and if you have enough Commanders you can overlap them to keep them protected from disasters and cover all your base.

Sure it's more expensive in the short run, but you pay no Maintenance in Machine Parts freeing up workers for other jobs. So when you have a small army of drones you can afford the Maintenance cost.

  7. I think the automated factories is a bit strong, but its also more interesting when everything isnt a crawl because he is very slowly getting those for maintenance, and trying to strategically use the rest. I think maybe just having them until you have enough people to run them?

  8. I tried this automated factories and with second try I just rushed this tech and 3 factories (polymer, machine parts and electronics) trivializes playthrough. It was enougth for slamm colony of mine untill I started building wonders
