2. In Burning Shores, the romance was so badly handled that I had no way of saying, "Sorry, not interested. All I want is friends. It would have been OK if it had simply given me that choice. It damaged the tale for me because it seemed like it was just thrown in for American political reasons. One excellent example of a well-written, non-political lesbian romance is The Last Us 2.

   It could be that I personally experienced that identical circumstance twice in the past year or so, and I truly don't enjoy it. Two of my closest friends, one of whom is gay and the other of whom is transgender, and I both started wanting a romantic relationship, which I don't want right now, and it has ruined the great friendship we once had. Then, I'm playing the best game on the planet, Horizon series, and the same thing happens out of nowhere at the end of Burning shores. It ruined it for me, and I wish I had not played the DLC at all.
