16:35, gang! Carve those words above the WotC HQ entrance!
Woo-hoo! Let's wheel out the games creator so he can pretend we haven't destroyed it and spit on his legacy!
-WOTC employee probably.

Great content
Played when game came out. We used colored stones for life points and +1 counters. Creatures that spawned tokens, we would used circle cardboard cutouts. Good times ^_^
Why is RG phoning it in?
Richard! Help!
He said it clear as day, making the game a collectible first is a disservice to the players that keep the game alive!
Been missing BDM! Good to see him! BDM and Buehler in the booth some time awe back in the good magic time when the pro tours mattered.

I wonder what Richard Garfield thinks about his creation being hyper-sold to oblivion because capitalism. Who am I kidding, he doesn't care. He has moved onto other things a long time ago.

8:40 So MTG was designed to be cheap to produce from the start of its creation. And here we are today and it is one of the most expensive game to purchase out there. With 30 Cards SL selling for 150$, almost the same price than a Gloomhaven boardgame which contains lots of figurines and elements. Clearly the profit margin is high on MTG (40%) compared to other boardgames. But, why it has to be like this? How much popular MTG would be if it was decently priced for the average people? You have no idea how many times I heard non-MTG players just not want to try this game because they heard it was very very expensive and a money sinkhole to keep with the new expansions.
BOOOOOOOO COMMANDER SUCKS. BRING BACK 60 CARD FORMATS. STOP KILLING MAGIC YOU MORONS.
Richard Garfield: look what they've done to my boy
The epic music is hilarious next to the tiny crowd and light smattering of applause.
I understand if you had other big events planed to be on a a screen but if the 30years of your game and can’t be live in person and this was planed most likely a year ahead of time and still. It there in person I think that is wrong
How intrusive is Magic in our lives today? People like me, breathe on its existance and longevity. Magic has become the most common game that about everybody knows or heard of it. MTG has become integral to the lives of many and a livelyhood to a mass of people. The sheer increase of depreciation of the game has hindered the outlook of the game overall. what was looked as nostalgia has turned into being "overwhelming"- What made MAgic exciting has been exasperated and exausted. We have reched a point where the "AWE" of the game has now been turned into "Taken for granted" Because we cannot take it serious anymore. Not becuase Magic is a joke… it is not… But because the business model has evolved from "feed the people- the players" into Segregate the player base. Via their wallet size, emotional conections of the game and favortism- not in that exact order. I mean I never thought there would be a day in my life, where I wrote a comment like this. Where I felt like the game has exceded past the invested players and the people who litterally built the game up by attending every pre-release, draft and spent hours and even free-days at their magic shop. building connections and memories. Building friendships and growth in the game. Some how- and I tie this comment down to this- Some how WOTC has turned from favoring the community over all and pushing for the individual player to be involved in the game. To seperating the players from those special connections with the community and taking the experience away from being an invested player. I may be wrong- you let me know?
thanks Richard, I really like your analytic aproach of games
Just logged on Hearthstone, got a welcome back gift of 80 boosters! Wuuut! While Wiz wants to sell me 30th celebration boosers, with a price tag of 1000$
so ironic that what he said at 16:35 was on the magic 30th anniversary
Does he still work for WOTC?
