Hi all, rather than respond to each one, I will make a response video. For now, I'll just thank all of you for supporting the channel. Long time viewers know that we match and donate the funds we receive from Youtube, so this channel is important to me. It is also important that I protect the integrity of Audio Excellence and the people who work here.
Oh dear I can only imagine it's been a challenging time for you Adrian and at this time of the year as well. There's no doubt about it Vilip had his +s and -s I guess as we all do, and I'm sure you've made the right decision moving forward Adrian. I certainly am a fan of the channel and that will not be changing.
I had a chance to listen to these yesterday at a local dealer being paired with a Mcintosh MA-352, source was Denon CD player and they sound amazing. They have decent bass, the salesman told me the concentric tweeter is capable of kicking in at 1600 Hz, this spec had me raised my eyebrows.
The dynamic for the You-Tube channel needed a diverse group and some conflict for spice. That was likely not what day to day deadline driven shop life needed. Happy 2023 to all and the best of luck to AEC and all of you past and present at the shop.
Luis was better prepared for this than ever before. He will become even better and feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Critical listening is an art that you don’t learn over night. Vilip will be missed but I saw some distress in the last videos so it did not come out of nowhere for me that he is no longer with AE. Keep up your good work guys and all the best to Vilip.
My god, finally! I will definitely watch your channel more often now that Vilip is not part of it. Although very knowledgeable, his often sarcastic delivery, poor body language and continuous diva attitude forced me to turn the video off countless times. I appreciate everything everyone at AEC does on a consistent basis and look forward to more amazing offerings. So many times in life it's not what somebody says, but how they say it and he was a perfect example of this. Bravo Adrian for making the decision to let Vilip go! God Speed towards 2023!
Hello all. Nice, thoughtful review Lewis. Perhaps you heard the "church's reverb" more accurately because you were listening in what I assume is more dampen room (video room used)? My studio has an RT60 of 250ms, very dampened and it allows me to distinguish the raw/recorded/captured character clearly and therefore I can make better decisions on the mix and mastering. Best regards and Happy New Year to you.
I think he has some sort of substance problem. I hope he makes it to a 12 step program. Being late for work, general irritability. It may be a gambling problem. I have no knowledge it's just my opinion. There are anger management classes. I think he is a fine individual , and I believe he should be given a second chance. Especially that he has a young family. But if there was physical violence then he should be terminated. I wish him the best and good luck.
Whatever happened, Adrian could of waited until after Christmas. Seeing Lewis in the recent videos looks like it was planned. Villip has been perhaps the person in the success of AEC through the YouTube videos and his extensive knowledge over the past few years – Adrian not doubt is aware of his contribution. Whatever happened to management for this to happen. Wish Villip the best and also future success at AEC.
I liked Vilip's evaluation style and the way he communicated his thoughts. But come on now, HE WAS NO CHUMLEE ! Of the Pawn Stars Show. He wasn't that funny, he didn't use a giant air blower to make his chair with wheels spin around in circles, he wasn't always eating or needing to go out to get a hamburger, or take naps during work time, or playing video games during work time or messing with gadgets he took a liking to. It always seems the fat guy is the most interesting one. It's like whatever they have to say projects more or something. Whether it be an audio review video or a sports analysis show on tv. They are bold enough to be unusually fat and that same boldness and rebel spirit makes them more daring in what they say, and how they say it. Am I fat? A little, but I'm losing weight and I wouldn't be surprised a bit, if my personality changes too. So it's not like we've lost some klutzy comical genius like Chumlee. We've lost a heavy set, more outspoken than usual, with his opinions reviewer, who did something wrong presumably. Maybe he didn't even do anything wrong as no court has convicted him by a jury of his peers. But I'll lean toward Adrian being a reasonable man and he did what he thought was the appropriate thing.
There were some conflicts of opinion. I remember when they did the first Magnepan LRS review. Vilip liked the LRS better than the .7, and Adrian, whose personality and taste are probably more sedate liked the .7 model better. Who was right and who was wrong; if anyone? Another time Adrian was talking about the LS3/5A speaker. I had one of its variants, and while I liked it, especially the midrange; it would clip on much musical material played at a less than generous volume. A legend; but in my opinion; a legend for small rooms only. So let's realize that all the protesting and comments in the world are not going to bring Vilip back to this channel. And some of you feel like you lost a chum; but for heavens sake, we did not.lose a Chumlee.
Lewis may be one of the finest human beings that ever walked the earth but, he is one of the last people i would ever want to listen for advice on audio topics. and i really do not mean any offense-just my truth.
Until Adrian provides explanation for firing Vilip all other comments are just speculation. Mine is Vilip had a side-hustle that Adrian found out about that went bad. But who knows? Adrian will need to provide ground truth….
I don't know you Adrian, I only dealt with Vilip at your business. It appeared to me when I was in the store, that you were above my status. As a business owner myself, you run your business, totally respect that. My loyalty would be with Vilip for what it's worth.
Adrian, you seem to be a extremely fair guy. I assume Vilip did something 'stupid' that justified his resignation/termination. Nowadays you can be fired for any number of reasons. It doesn't necessarily mean Vilip is a bad person, and i would guess Adrian wishes Vilip success on his next adventure, but unfortunately that AE ride had to come to an end.
To be honest. I am brand new to this channel. The few videos I have watched were Vilip talking over someone. That is very distracting and I am glad this was addressed. It was very distracting.
Wow I can’t believe Villip is gone from Audio Excellence. I always look forward to hearing his opinions on the various equipment and value his critique. He is funny and engaging. He is a star, and I hope he will find success soon and I will continue to support Adrian and the remaining team as always. VILLIP please surface soon !
Where is Vilip. He is essential, why did you let him go. He was so knowledgeable and allot of us tuned in to hear his analysis. What a shame he's gone. For Gods sake get him back. Thanks, M. McCall

Maybe Villip and Jay will start their own YouTube channel now.
It’s not an easy thing owning and running a business. Your decisions are respected.
I wish Villip all the best in his future, and uses his knowledge base well.
Vilip now has more time to listen to Diana Krall
I man rather new to this channel but I can see from the quality of comments below that you have some classy and mature viewers.

Changes …wherever we look ! That’s life

I support your decision Adrian.
You may want to find a 3rd person for your videos though, just to keep the format. More ears hear more.

Louise is struggling with his opinions on the mofi ,AE will never be the the same with out Vilip, well thats just my opinion .

Maybe now Villiop can finish moving. It will be better without Villip.
Wish they can be smaller.

Reviews are mixed on these and sounds like "Room" size does matter. Let's see what's next in the mix. Happy New Year 2023 to All!!!

Time to take a break and retool, this was a terrible review.
