This video takes us along the Idaho Backcountry Discovery Route, through the beautiful state of Idaho – probably one of the most underrated states for overlanding. On this trip, we tackle some of the sections that stopped us on the Overland Movie.

Hey Revere Overland!, I hope you had a good Turkey🦃day and a great Thanksgiving weekend!!👍👍
Gonna say hey even before I get though the ads. This is gonna be an awesome video!
Rob you're sound edit on this is stellar. It's so cool to see this through your lens and creative editing. You are gonna make folks fall in love with Idaho!
I think your videos have the best drone footage.
So cool, I just started planning a trip that includes Jarbridge! Great video as always!
How much time does it add to a trip to fly the drone in all of these spots along your drive? How do you fly it while on the move? It seems like too much of a hassle for me but your shots are obviously worth it thanks! I'd probably crash mine into a tree anyways
Only 26 minutes in and the cinematography, music selection, all of it… freaking EPIC! Well done, Sir!
Great video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You keep upping your game with every video. That's radio audio with id's in the bottom corner is class. Seriously amazing work that just keeps getting better and better. Thanks Rob, for sharing your travels. Awesome stuff!
Excellent video. I enjoyed the entire thing.
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Have drone, will travel.
Rob another GREAT film. I didnt even notice the time fly by while watching it. your style of overlanding is what I like best. Thanks again
Hey Rob, do you ever do any drone footage? ;-P
Fantastic stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Do you ever miss the 4Runner, with all the tight spaces you were in?
This was such a great vid Rob. It was awesome adventuring with you, I hope to do it again sometime! That ending though…doesn’t get any better than that! Congrats poppa!
I loved this video – never realized how beautiful Idaho was. Would love to do the same trail portrayed in your video. Thanks!
Bravo, excellent, well done thank you.
This was an awesome video. Thanx for taking me along.
So you put the tundra to the test? How did you like it? I mean it didn’t break down. I too have a tundra and want to try a lil over landing. Have to admit a lil scared cuz I know nothing and neither does my husband and we are oldies not young anymore. Seeing you out there with your tundra makes me jealous. My truck is not an off road but it does have 4X4.
Congratulations on being a dad!
Wow , I had no idea Idaho was so beautiful , and I had no idea it could possibly get that hot thier . And you said no mosquitoes ? Sounds like Idaho should be the overland and camping , Haven of America .
Glad you're getting back into the long form videos. I realize they probably don't get as many clicks, and not as many people watch all the way through in this day and age of 3 minute attention spans, but I am a fan. Keep it up!
Also a big fan of the IDBDR as well, I did it about five years back. 🍻
Udawut?
Glad I woke up early! Watching start to finish. So much work and awesome filmmaking Rob. And what an ending. You got your priorities straight. 👍
Another killer vid with spectacular footage!
Congrats on becoming a father! 👊
hope one day to hit trails with you! Love your vids! if there is any sub meetup and hit trail event, i will def join!
Great job Rob! Love your videography and soundtrack combos, what a fun viewing experience! Congratulations (to both of you) on the birth of your sweet baby boy!
We did the Idaho Traverse this last summer also but in a Ram 2500 with a 4Wheel Camper. First thing I bought when I got home was a cordless chainsaw for my overlanding arsenal. Did you see the “Baum Shelter” in Warren Idaho? Looked sketchy so we didn’t stop. Got online after and it is a highly rated bar/burger joint. A destination for overlanders and snowmobile folks. Wish we would have stopped. The whole trek is beautiful. We we on route during fires and got detoured also.
Excellent video. Can't wait to experience Idaho. Congrats on the newest addition to the family.
Those MaxTrax are for Crocs.
@ 14:18, what is that dragging off the Tundra? Looks like plastic…

If you really cared about Idaho you would keep it off YouTube isn’t it obvious social media destroys everything eventually
Rob I watched this on my 70 “ tv and man what an awesome trip very nice job. Fantastic scenery. 😊
That ending! So glad you made it back. And that you have a healthy baby. My wife went into labor when I was 5 hours away from home buying a camper for our truck so I totally appreciate it. And kudos for already having taking the little one out. Lastly, great video of the Idaho BDR. As someone who will hopefully be moving to Idaho sooner than later, I appreciate you sharing your experience and all the sights from this trip!
Awesome night drone shots. Congrats on the baby
You have the most amazing drone shots. My wife watched some with me and asked if it was a commercial. Love watching your videos.
Great video Rob, beautiful scenery and wonderful footage! Love the addition of the comments over the radio.
Awesome video Rob!
Beautiful work, brother! Your camera and editing skills have increased! Much love, health and happiness to you and your family…
Spectacular video. I grew up in Central Idaho and spent a lot of time on the roads from the Salmon River up through the Florence area over to Elk City and across the Magruder Corridor road toward Darby. That was decades ago before wildfires burned so much of that part of the Nez Perce and Bitterroot National Forests. Brings back lots of memories; thanks for that…
What fantastic views! I may have to add ID to my future overlanding list.
Awesome video Rob! I'm sure this has been asked several times before, but why do you have your RTT opening to the driver's side?
Thank you SO MUCH for this! This is one the BEST overland videos I've EVER watched. I live in North Idaho and have seen and done a lot, but nothing can match your drone/video/editing skills showing so much more than could ever be experienced on the ground!
Great video of my home State! Here in Idaho, you don't drink the Clamato alone. Add it to a glass of beer, much better!
Another gorgeous video of a gorgeous part of the country.
Next time, you need to be the first vehicle in line. None of this 3rd stuff.
Congratulations
