  16. John not only deserves "Song of the Year," but also an award for "Most integrity" in the Country Music community. This patriotic American has more integrity than anyone else on Music Row. Most country acts are willing to sell their souls and sell out their country for fame and fortune. Thanks John, for having the guts to tell it like it is. Let's see how many other country artists come out loud and clear about where they stand on the political scale.

  17. the lyrics are too general to agree or disagree. Air conditioners are progress, solar panels are progress, cars that get better gas mileage represent progress, people that try to get to know each other is progress. Mass shootings….not progress….close-minded thinking…not progress…political "teams" ….not progress (as opposed to candidates presenting ideas to bring about discussion and then our decision about who to vote for)…We all need to think more for ourselves before hitching the wagon to a train going in a big circle that always ends up in the same place with the same people. Read more, talk more to people outside your circle, put yourself in another person's life to see how you would live if you had different options (better or worse than you have now). Allow people to be different 'cause guess what…..people being different has always been the case and realizing that is progress.
