Which concept design for Godzilla was your favorite?
godzilla minus one was epic, but he was a little stiff walking thru the city in the final scene.
i think a sequel with more CGI monsters fighting each other will just mean it becomes a same old same old type of godzilla movie.
how can a sequel live up to minus one? it cant so why bother. minus one has now rendered the monsterverse useless and thats what a sequel would be
The fact that this didn't get nominated for best foreign film disgusts me
@3:22 to me it looks like the pre mutated version that was running around on the beach before he got hit with the bomb and became the upright posture. @3:53 that concept art looks like the aftermath of the injury he took with the depth charge blowing his head open but here it didn't heal 100% and instead looks mangled/deformed.
I hope they bring back anguirus for the sequel
I honestly don't want to see any more films with Godzilla fighting other monsters. I prefer when it's just a disaster movie with an emotional core.
It should get a Best Picture win!

I think Mothra would be a great next monster. A benevolent kaiju to counter Godzillas evil. Would love to see her tone with that level of storytelling

I really don't know how they can top Godzilla minus one. The movie was perfection, also I feel that the sequels Noriko is going to die, due to some sort of infection from coming into contact that atomic breath.

It is a good time to be a godzilla fan right know also love the concept art for minus one godzilla one design is very similar to godzilla from 1998 very interesting.
Couldn't you have just used your phone for translation? Google and Apple have translation apps that can work on photos. I'm not nitpicking, I'm just curious.

Thin Goji is the one appearing on the island. Thr one with more teeth is the one after Koichi blast a mine on Goji's face, The armor version is probably when Goji was drawned into the bottom of the ocean.

Honestly with the success of Minus One Toho would be wise to pull a Capcom RE series and have the next film be a Return of Godzilla remake of sorts even if it’s just a spiritual successor.
Idk what was the bigger snub Godzilla Best Foreign film or Zach Effeon Best Actor. The academy is a joke
