Hey Brian !!!!!…..from what I've seen, spears are the absolute Best weapons in the game unless you're fighting DOGS and COPS….putting your base on the Roof of the gas station with Spikes around it works really well….the BOOKS are the MOST vital thing to get….Every mailbox…paperstand…post office and Book Store for the win…..scrap weapons as you make better ones and ALWAYS keep–stones..wood..bones and fibers ON YOU for repairs…
But hey, just MY opinions so …….
@brianmenard you really should start securing your base! Cause horde night is wild! Even if you die the zombies still keep coming until the morning time. You can build a wall around you base and fortify it by making turrets to help.

Also plan your day. Do adventures in daylight and make a mine under your base where you can dig for resources, xp and an escape tunnel lol
TIPS THAT ARE SPOILER FREE! – I am only 3 1/2 hours in, so I hope I am not saying things that are repetative.
1) The land claim block allows you to pick up all stations that you place down and interact with.
2) There is a system called a "heat map", the more you interact with stations and craft and cook, the "hotter" your chunk becomes and that draws in zombie hordes
3) They changed the way traders work, the more missions you do the more high level loot they sell you. So you can't get end game loot at the beggining.
4) When doing building raids, there is 5 levels of difficulty max, the harder the POI the more complex they are, the harder the zombies, the more usful the loot is
5) When entering a POI, there is a light source (lamp, lantern, flashlight). These light sources are the "entrances" to the POI, All POIs are dungeons to crawl through with a stash at the end
6) for a more "romero" style game, when you create the world make zombies walk always, and jog on blood moon, zombie block damage to 25%, player to 150%, loot at 150% and loot respawn at 30 days or off.
7) Chop apart the tree stumps to get honey to fight infections
8) Use a wrench to break down vehicles to get general supplies from them
9) You can use haybales and mattresses to drop from very high heights and not break your legs (MY LEGS!)
10) If you see a dog crate at a POI it generally means there are zombie dogs at the POI
Hopfully you didn't find any ofg these as spoilers. I loved the stream on rewatch and I think you should definetly make a series out of this game!!!
I tried this game a few weeks ago but it felt clunky and unoptimized so ended up refunding it. Maybe worth a second shot?

This is really hard to watch…especially when chat is giving such horrible advice in early game. The way he used his first skill points was worthy of a couple facepalms. But, you play, you learn.

This Is My Favorite Game, Got Over 2,000+ Hours Lol, If You Enjoy It Then Def Make a Series It’s a Very Fun Game For The Survival/Crafting Genre Player Base
Trust me when I say you will have plenty to do at night, crafting cooking base repairs and upgrades, just need to get into the swing of things first.
If you feel its hurting the content though turn the days back to 60 minutes.
By the way there always is a proper way to loot the buildings/POIs that leads you to the main loot and in which you don´t have to break through any blocks and doors, so always look for an unlocked door, a basement entry or a way to get on the roof. You also might find light sources like torches and flashlights pointing or leading in a direction. These are there to help you find the way to the main loot. Hope that helps, I really enjoy watching you play 7Days 😀
Hey Brian. Been awhile. How are you & the family❓ Tons of differences between this & Xbox1 version that's for sure. Graphics look amazing, but I never punish older games for sub par graphics. I wonder if you can test if a game dynamic from the xbox1 version exists in this game. Find or buy a bucket & fill it with murky water from a water source. Dump the water on the ground & then refill the bucket. If there's still water on the ground, you can use an empty glass jar to scoop up the remaining water. This process can be repeated indefinitely.. Thus giving you infinite water. I haven't checked your other comments so I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but if not & it works, then COOL 👍 My save is on day 940+ so I can tell you from experience, having infinite water is a must LOL .. If there is any other helpful tips I can provide, please don't hesitate to ask 👊 Take care dude & all the best ! Ciao4now😁

Maps can be enormous in this game depending on how you choose to set up your settings. So that you choose that loot won't respawn won't be a problem since you play this game by yourself. It would probably take you more then one week to loot out a city and when that time has passed then loot has already respawned with default settings. But if you play on a server with say 39 other people then yeah you might want the loot to respawn within 7 days so there is loot available for everyone when there is 40 people running around and looting on the same map.
This an ARK are by far my favorite series keep up the good work.
Certain things you are looking for are more likely to appear in related POIs. For instance, Shamway is good for finding food, Crack-a-Book for books/magazines, Working Stiff for tools and mods, Pop-N-Pills for meds, Savage Country for clothes and sometimes weapons, Shotgun Messiah for weapons, ammo and armor, Pass N Gas for repair kits and automotive related items.
Bad info warning: land claim blocks do not stop zombie spawns.
They do stop sleeper zombie respawns in POIs but they do not stop random zombies from spawning in range. Only an active bedroll stops all zombie spawns. Zombies will also not respawn on player placed blocks so best practice is to replace all "ground" blocks in range where you don't want respawns, including inside buildings.
