Quick update: the shot at 4:48 is a mistake in the editing. The footage is one frame short of the correct (next) shot sooo… yeah you can't see anything in that image 😅
Season change, OK, but then where did the additional trees on the Great Plateau come from where the snow used to be? They would've taken decades to grow.
Im impressed by how much the Botw overworld has changed in totk. I was hesitant about playing botw again before release to make totk feel more new. Now i feel like i should play botw just to appreciate the changes more.
I totally can't explain how excited I am for this game. I would love to get the collector's edition, but that might not be possible… Seeing as it sold out on the GameStop website in less than 2 minutes after being announced. Oh well… As long as I get the game, the amiibo, and any extra game content I'll be happy.
I have an explanation on why the labyrinths are in the sky As we see in the trailer some objects from the heavens fall down to the sky What is the labyrinths fell down from the sky but as Ganondorf awakened and triggered the appear of these new found sky islands Some structures enchanted with ancient Zonai magic, or of Zonai architectural features Rose up to the heavens or where revealed in the depths of hyrule(either on the surface or in the caves we see)
With regards to the green spirals, looking at it from a gameplay perspective it would make more sense if they glow before link has interacted with them so they're easier to initially find, like how shrines are orange before they turn blue once found
My theory on the plateau wall is that work was started on repairing the walls, but wasn't completed by the time of Ganondorf's return. I think we're looking at a 3-5 year timespan between the end of BotW and the start of TotK at the very least.
6:18 This sentence is so sad. Everyone was so excited for Age of Calamity to give us a glimpse into what the Hyrule of BoTW was like, and now that we know the truth we can't be certain even the minor details in the game are canon or not.
I've seen comments about Link not being cold while in the sky and that it could very well be because if global warming but… skyward sword also didn't have any character freezing on the islands. I don't think the devs "warmed up" the game because of the sky islands. I agree that it's probably a seasonal change or something else entirely that we won't know until the game comes out. My theory is that the islands are from the sacred realm or wherever the dragons go and that it has different climate control kind of like how skyloft did.
Really hope they fix the shield and weapon durability. Personally, I don't HATE the idea; but it would be nice that the weapons and shields didn't break so quickly. Either, balance it out to where you can have a weapon longer than 1-2 enemy group encounters or get rid of it entirely. I don't think that this system is so important to the core of the game that it will handicap the experience but it's definitely a big enough deal to annoy a large amount of the player base.
I just hope there are proper dungeons this time, please?
Would be interesting if we got to revisit ancient temples for whatever reason, i always wondered what happened to the OoT temples after so many years passed in the Timeline, did the Spirit temple get devoured by the sands? What about the Shadow Temple?
I've watched loads of these analysis videos and not one person has yet mentioned that in the scene of link staring up at the Blood Moon, Link is clearly in the entrance way of the Temple of Time. Not sure whether it's relevant at all.
Am I the only one not excited about these changes? I mean the sky islands and vehicles/tech specifically. I just really hope they still made lots of caves to discover too like they showed in the first trailer.
Getting excited man, almost like a younger me… ffs here we go again ^^ Would like to know some more on all the possibilities regarding special abilities. Guess we probably have to wait till release now.
I feel like rather than time travel we may be taught by the first hero as a spirit and he may show us memories of the original calamity, which is why the Great Plateau was undamaged in that shot… thoughts?
Personally, I really hope there is no time travel. I feel like time travel has already had it's game (multiple actually if you count smaller parts involving it) and we have also seen how time travel turned age of calamity from having a good and canonical storyline into something that just doesn't fit. I don't think time travel would be good in this game, I just want the simple ability to go wherever, whenever without the restriction of having to wind back time or even only having certain areas become available and later unavailable according to the game's storyline, as that would take away what BotW started and put zelda back to being too linear and frankly out of date. What I am confident on is that whatever Nintendo does, they will do it well, so I am not worried.
Just a little sidenote, here: in the German version of the new trailer, Zelda doesn’t say “Link I’m not sure you’ll be able to beat him!” but instead she says “He is so powerful, even you can’t beat him!”
Probably a dumb question, but are we sure it’s “Tears” as in crying and not “Tears” as in tearing something to shreds? I just see a lot of imagery that looks like ripping something apart
The orange glow inside the towers seems to come from a flame, as if you zoom into the tower and play the trailer the orange glow moves. Maybe these are Zonai towers and the flames are supposed to represent the ancient and Kinda primitive nature of the barbaric Zonai tribe
I get the feeling more and more that there will be two different time zones. Its not the first time in Zelda and based on what we have seen/know it would make sense. "You will not be able to stop him!" – NOW. Go back 10k years when Ganon was defeated and sealed away.

God I can't wait! Breath of the Wild is my favourite game, ever, and it looks like TotK will improve upon it in every possible way. 😭

Where is the hearts and stamina wheel? We have seen active fighting and para gliding.

For the first 3 trailers I thought it was mid but now I really want to play it

Zelda community will find a very random time travel theories before even thinking of season changes, which you know, also time travelling forward :v
Great video. Time travel, callin it.
there's a little black smudge in the sky in the 17th second of the video could that mean something
11:36 the wall looks different due to time travel. ZeldaLore has found evidence already in a really clever way.
The homing arrow Isa Keese Eyeball infused with links new magic

I was wondering if you could make another Hyrule documentary? It’s really fun to watch!
Can you do a video about the monster guy kilton. there are probably some interesting roads to take with that.

can't wait for the collab w zeltik, u guys rock
11:19 It's an extreme Prequel! What if it takes place 10.000 years or even more before BotW? This would also explain the crude Shiekah Towers.
I think after the intro sequence ganon will do some wacky stuff and all the islands will float including the mazes

"So far we've been able to nail down two of them." Evidently we didn't nail them down good enough because they're floating in the sky.
Does anybody notice that the storm cloud formation could possibly be the Thunderhead where resides the isle of songs in Skyward Sword?
