Today, Toyota is hailed as one of the best car brands. There’s no disputing that. I mean, take all the Toyota cars you see right now–from the Prius to the Highlander down to the likes of Supra and Land Cruiser. All of them don’t disappoint and get so good that they don’t falter in sales, even in a volatile car market.
But heck, even the best of Toyota can beat the following cars I’m about to show you…

The first two of these cars (with their reliable engines, transmission, handling, design, quality materials, performance) are the exact reason why Toyota invested – as a minority shareholder – in both Mazda and Subaru, supplying also its 4th gen hybrid system to some of their models.
But the electric clunkers of Ford and Hyundai are total bs. Accord is not that clearly beating Camry, especially in price (not to mention reliability and TCO=Total Cost of Ownership).
Ah you lost me with the Lighting. It’s a joke.
The Lightning may have more torque but it’s not much good when you run out of range.
CX5, to me, is a prettier SUV than the RAV4- but that's where it ends. The Japanese need to wake up and realize that their "thinking" around the NON-TOUCH SCREEN function is stupid. They say it will distract drivers from keeping their eyes on the road – so they give you a dumb button between the 2 seats on the center console instead! The reasoning behind that is dumber than the reason they do not put a touch screen in the vehicle. We owned one, and that was the thing that frustrated my wife, for whom we bought it, the most. Mostly because of that, we ended up selling it and buying an F-Pace Jag – which has the touch screen function. Mazda lost us there, and even though she really liked the CX5, she said she would never want one again – as long as they have that stupid system in their vehicles!
