you probably won't see this comment but what is your gripe with dorn?
Yes, the fortress of Baal's Deep. Nope, they don't use that….? Confused chatter..,
"VICTORY"
hey luetin would you be able to do a video on the blood angles?
10th Ed. is going tobe more dumbing down, no need for this crap.
Speedy release
can't wait until humanities god king rises once more
I think that Roboute will be very happy to see The Lion. Someone of his own weight and understanding that he can rely on and confide in – ''I understand, on the quiet, that you may have a couple of things to sort out with your boys, but once that's done, how about i give you some of my new guys to add to yours and you go out and reconquer a few dozen worlds, just to get back in to the swing of things?'' ''Verily brother, a hunting trip? I'll bring you back a swarm lord's head''.
I hope that Guilliman and Lion both have the wisdom to see that Lion should be the War Master, as he always should have been. Guilliman can handle matters of state to hold the empire together from within, and helping it run more efficiently, while the Lion focuses on defeating the outside threats. If they find Vulkan, that would be another incredible boon.
The beauty about this change is that they can completely reimagine codices to be primarily lore and art books with minimal rules. this could also allow them to bring back things like modeling and painting tips in greater detail.
As a Tyranid player, with this edition, my condolences go to Eldar players.
Glad I waited on terminators/most of my 1st company…about time taking forever to paint pays off!
More Xenos! The galaxy's big enough, why aren't there more? Well, now we have beast men!
was the emperors deal to use the chaos to fight space cockroaches
I hope 10,000 years has loosened the Lions ass cheeks… 🙂
A character this big and important comes back means 1 thing is inevitable, he's killing someone else big and important. I wonder who it'll be.
Oh oh I was so close to buying a couple of books… phew..
Does anyone know where Luetin got the thumbnail for this video?
I think GW will some how fuck up digital free rules on day 1. There track reacord jsut doesn't give me any hope they'll do this right.
Also the amount of people I know and play with that jsut stopped buying army books becuase "There out of date on relase"
FOR TEH EMPRAh
32:37 cat cute! Whaaaaggghhh!!!
I see it now, gameworkshop will offer you all the PDFs for everything and guard those copy rights extreamly hard for redistribution. Then offer an app for $10 a month for an app that lets you easily switch between everything more easily and they stop everyone from competing by legal force.
Wonder what the story will be for the sword that Cypher's been carrying around?
32:27 – Adeptus Kittycus
Absolutely love the "yep they're bigger now" reasoning like yea, everyone already knows about content creep and understands why it happens. It's like they couldve just daid that for the primaris range huh
Still have my Necron army on my shelf build around a formation from a White Dwarf magazine.
A formation where the Monolith could restore models to the infantry squads in the formation.
That was 7th or 8th. I forgot now. But when 9th came out as I found out I could use it at all. Kinda lost my love for the game.
Heres hoping to a better future for GW.
@Luetin09 I wonder if a Calpurnia themed film with Maybe Henry Cavill, if he could be made aware of, that the complete 'Calpurnia' Omnibus Novel being a possible good basis to start from, towards a screenplay, and in easing new & existing viewers into the grimdarkness to come.
without codexes it will be near impossible for new players to get into the universe, understanding the army (storywise) etc. So 'background-only' codexes would be a cool thing!
At this point, isnt the Rock basically an Orc space hulk? 😉
16:40 Dark Angels vs Darker Angels
(Disclaimer: *Any instance of this post where I utter a verdict or judgement is my opinion and therefor subjective – it's sad you have to point that out these days)
I look towards 10th edition rather pessimistically. Don't get me wrong, free rules and stats is nice and all, but Arks Of Omen is a bit of a window into what 10th Edition is likely to feel like in play and so far it's not good*.
It was already a point of contention to me when it was announced, but having actually experienced it in play now, removing the restrictions on how your army has to be structured makes things far too unpredictable and skewed*. Sure, you "only" paid 3CP for using a specialist detachments, but that sort of thing was super painful during the Nephilim era where you only had a maximum of 6CP to start with, especially as you had to buy in any warlord traits and relics for 1CP each, not just additional ones. Now you can get away with fielding entire armies of only the absolute best and efficient units, without losing any flexibility in what you field or how you can play*. The so-called "troop tax" was a good thing and in my opinion it should have been expanded upon (heavily, but I knew that was never gonna happen) – you're welcome to fight me on this.
As for simplification; I'd commented on one of AusTac's speculative videos (before the big release) that consolidating the stratagems that are most common between all armies anyway (as in they do exactly the same thing, but are called something unique in every release) would definitely be a positive move and it looks like they're doing exactly that, which makes a lot of sense and is a positive in my book*.
However I will say that, coming from 3rd Ed, 9th Ed is already grossly simple. I'm glad to hear they're removing the run away mechanic for failed morale, as that really made very little sense, but outside of that I don't see any benefit from making the core functionality of the game any simpler than it already is. You can explain it to an interested party in 15 minutes and do a single-turn trial game with two minimal forces in a half hour (and that's not hyperbole, I have done exactly this with everyone I've managed to motivate into starting the hobby during 9th) and if you don't have a friend to teach you on hand, and honestly can't stomach sitting down and reading a basic ruleset that doesn't even take half an hour (again, not hyperbole) then maybe tabletop wargaming just isn't for you and that's okay*.
Love the vid. I'm pumped. Any chance at a sororitas video in the future
so excited for 10th edition, I love the lore and the game. I have been in and out since 2nd edition I think, but 9th was horrible I gave it a try, but struggled to keep up and it was so much I just stopped, if it is as easy to access and learn as they say think it will go very well for GW getting people back and new people in.
Beastmen have reciently been in blackstone and Necromunda games
Damn, you shit on my boy Dorn and for what ;-;
Why does gw do this so often
Hoping Exorcists make it to tenth
