  1. I think the main complaint I have heard from Guard players is that the rules changes in this data slate – army rule punishing super heavies, indirect change nerfing artillery, reinforcements change nerfing infantry horde – has pushed the guard into a strictly one lane army of hybrid/tanks in an edition that is already tank heavy. And simultaneously removing most list building directions in an army that is already suffering from index fatigue is really punishing and a huge nerf, not from a rules perspective, but from a meta one, and why the overall reaction to the changes from the guard community has been so negative.

  2. Thank you for telling me forge world necron is dead.

I ordered all necron forge world months ago. Now. Today. The day your video released. I was able to grab my shipped forge world necrons, open the box and sit down to your video so i can make my minis. Then have a good cry at all the money i just lost.

Thank you for saving me the embarrassment of going to a gamesworkshop-shop-warhammer-store-that-also-sells-40k-&-lotr and trying to use my forge world models.

After saving my money and working hard for years, GW still finds a way to make it hurt to love 40k.

Ii love everyone who works at the poorhammer podcast, each and every one is excellent at what you do, and i thank you for your service.

  3. Thank you, Berílio, for sacrificing your life and your Shadow of the Erdtree time to get this video out. May the motive force be sweet to your computer and the Omnissiah bless your editing software.

(if anyone asks, I looked up the Portuguese Wikipedia page for Beryllium and that's how I found this spelling)

  4. I play Admech and honestly i find many of my units standing still with heavy for the 2+ pretty often. This might change now tho as i dont have 40+ units that run around capping objectives while i position to shoot into with 30" range models on the other side of the map

  5. In the admech discord the real excitement is around conqueror protocol.

Even without melee, it turns out the +1AP does more damage than +1BS in most situations, so there’s little incentive to run protector. People have been coming up with protector lists – especially in cybernetica cohort – but I think you’ll find the standard admech list will want to sit in conqueror all game.

The other thing people are excited for are the enhancement in hunter cohort and the Strat in cybernetica cohort that let you use both doctrines at once. This’ll let you pick a squad of 3 las chickens or a dunecrawler and give it +1BS + 1AP, which is nasty on 6 lad cannon shots.

  6. "Morven Vahl is not a Star-God" My Vahlgons killed a Forgefiend, a Venomcrawler, 5 legionnaires with a Chaoslord and 5 Possesed in a SINGEL Turn. They are cracked and i love them for it

  7. Ok, first, couple short points: Yay Berillio doing an awesome job. Yay Bricky being back; I may in fact buy objective markers just to make you sell out again. Yay wonderful episode and sounds like good changes for you all who actually play this game (i prefer ones with good rules, but love me some Poorhammer).

But, a condensed version of my rant: fhut the actual wuck is with GW and being unable to figure out base sizes?! This is kinda inportant for basic rules and gameplay, but no, we cant get any specific guidance and rulings on what goes on what. and yet, in good games like Infinity N4, your base size and veryical cylinder height is a stat on your unit's sheet, and includes not only a specific measurement for those two measurements, it also includes cardboard templates for visually checking if your model is visible within that space even if the model is spindly, there are nice acrylic ones available for purchase, and there is a specifically sized "x" printed on them and defined in the rules where, if you can trace line of sight to that sized piece of the model you have the ability to target it and there is a clear explanation of that. I dont play it competetively, but Infinity also includes hidden info, decoy models that dont actually exist, secret objectives, a working app which includes every unit and profile, which also connects to the wiki including full explanatipns of all rules and any updates that have changed them and changelogs and also connects to the international tournament system allowing you to directly upload your lists for any tournament event while also seeing which missions will be included in any event, abd with rules for proxying models that no longer exist for sale or are unavailable for any reason . . . But GW is the "competetive" game that cant even figure out what sized bases common models have.

Thank you for listening to my rant, now please try Infinity. Or Battletech Alpha Strike. Cyberpunk Combat Zone is really good, too, and has a campaign system built into it's core rules.

  8. @1:39:00 FINALY
someone with a bit of sense
100% the admech changes are nowhere near enough, its still a $2000 horde army
all the people gushing over the changes entirely ignoring that we are still going to be fielding 100 models, we are still going to be barely over 1.5pts/$, we are still going to be one of the lowest damage armies

its a step in the right direction
but its a step….there is still a god damn marathon ahead before admech is actually in a good spot

  9. Thank you, Beryllio. At the end of Elden Ring, the Tarnished looks at the screen and breaks into a Mongolian throat singing rendition of Billie Eillish's Bad Guy. It was really bizarre, but somewhat charming.

  10. I think the new rule is ok if you are not a jerk and try to win at any cost. If you understand that this is a game and everyone want to have fun with this game on weekends I think you will do fine in this edition.

  11. On the subject of Pivot taxes/ & Overhanging models, GW are really gonna need to clarify things in a FAQ due to one issue which will cause a lot of arguments: Large vehicles with clear round bases. RAW a Hammerhead can pivot freely and squeeze itself through gaps half it's size because while they use the body for measurements, there's nothing stating that's also the case for these two changes.

  12. In general, guard basic infantry should be worth 5, sisters, aeldari, orks, admech, etc. 10 and space marines 20. The fact that intercessors are too expensive at 16, while guard are at 6 means, there is very very few space to design the others well.

  13. As someone who’s played Votann through out 10th, play regularly 3 times a week, took them to a few events, exactly what bricky said I don’t care, there alright where they are but there’s just so little variety that it’s just stale, I’m not sure even a codex would help?
