Optimus is one of the first Jeskai commanders that's making me not think spellslinger combo and that's neat. Plus, Optimus is always cool to me.
What do I think of Transformers as commanders?
I think they shouldn't exist in Magic the Gathering.
If I ever see one in a pod of mine as a commander I will spite target them.
I like Cheerios and I like gravy but I don't like to eat Cheerios with Gravy.
These Hasbro IP cards ruin immersion just imo. Like if you're playing D&D and somebody pulls up to the blacksmith shop in a Ferrari… 🙄
I know your young but Michael Bay was 20 years after these cards and art came out. They actually had a transformer cards game before these were mtg cards.
These aren't Bayverse, these are og transformer cartoons.
Meh, they’re mediocre. I love transformers and actually being able to transform these cards is sick but the flavor of what they actually do just isn’t there for me. And none of them are very strong anyway.
Slicer is the bot to look out for.
Assault Suit in the command zone is just fun.
I just want all of them in the old art
I dont like any of them until they get reprinted in magic style

People complaining about “immersion” being ruined because of these existing need to get over it ngl, it’s not nearly as big a deal as people are making it out to be, and it’s not like giant transforming robots in the set about the greatest artificer ever are that out of the ordinary
I want them all. But many seem to be turned off by them.
