4 CHANGES I Would LOVE To See In FAE FARM!

Fae Farm has quickly stolen my heart, but there are a couple of things that I think, could make it the PERFECT game.

  1. I like having to manage my time in games like this so the time doesn't bother me. A Stardew day is 14 min and a Fae Farm day is 18 min. But I am very upset with the NPC dialogues being limited as you mentioned and the NPC relationship mechanic in general. No likes/dislikes and only being able to gift romanceable NPCs feels so limited for a $60 game.

  2. Definitely day speed as in Wylde flowers would be amazing and everything you said I agree plus having children and if they will grow up to teens like in coral island that would be amazing

  3. Prefacing this with the reminder this is only my opinion, because I find it interesting where we’re similar and different and why…
    1) I like the automatic tool switching, even with the downside, mostly because I’ve lost stamina in early game on a stack of games while adjusting to how everything is equipped, and because early game always = low storage space, so not having tools take up valuable inventory spots or juggling them in and out of storage is awesome.
    2) 100% agree on the game speed, but I do like that there are NO penalties to being out late- just cutscene and you’re home.
    3) engaging dialogue is always nice, but for most games, I’d almost prefer an option to limit or remove the ones you’re sick of seeing/hearing. I appreciate friendship mechanics as a way to add content to games, but I don’t much like small talk in real life.
    4) photo mode. For me I occasionally like photo modes, but I REALLY dislike being made to use it by the game (*looking at you, DDV dreamlight tasks and ACNH nook miles*)

  4. I played the game a little bit at PAX and it was so different having it in hand! Streams of this have made me feel iffy, but once I was playing myself it was so fun. These are great improvement ideas!

  5. Day speed would be awesome. But even if they just wanted to add that you DONT have to return to home at the end of every night and just give us consequences like in Rune Factory where we become fatigued if we don't return. That would give us the incentive to return so that way we don't get tired or a debuff.

  6. Gurl, you nailed it! I agree with every single point you made. Especially the photo mode! We need in game photography ASAP! You know I'm highly passionate on photography and I was so bummed to see it has none. Fingers crossed it's coming in the future! Great video!! 💜

  7. I definitely hope they allow people to change their time speed. People like different speeds/challenge. I'm want my cozy games to be slow and relaxing.

I'm still really looking forward to it! I pre-ordered and hope I have some time on release day to play it!

  8. I screamed YES as you said the thing about the photo mode!! So so so much! And I think I'd like to be able to place things halfway between tiles, especially if you want to explore the decorating in this game that feels a little limiting. Same thing for placing things on top of let's say wooden stools or even giant bookshelves! ☺

  9. Same, I also used fertiliser I didn't want to. But something I'd love to see also is a quick sort button for our bag/inventory because I tend to move items to empty slots manually which is silly but I don't like seeing empty slots scattered about like that 🙃

  10. omg the day speed!!!!! I am willing to BEG ANYONE for them to give us the option to slow it down. the furter along I get, the less time I have. The day goes by far too quick. I have time to water my crops, to feed and pet the animals, maybe make some meals for energy and then anything else is a rush against the clock before I'm hauled off to bed. It's just not enough time to get anything done! I get into something, relax a little and am pulled away. PLEASE give us the option to slow time down PLEASE. It's taken the fun and "cozy" out of it for me already

  11. This game has been a real disappointment for me so far😢
I don't know if it is just me but is there a way to sort your inventory?
I am now going to the shed transferring the items to sort them and transferring them back??….

  12. Been playing it for a bit and all the point you have brought up is valid. I would love to be able to zoom in and out. I have found myself not speaking to anybody and just doing the quest, not immersed at all. As for decorating, I would love the move objects in all directions and layer up. I see a stool, I want to put something on it. Found myself stuck in places that I couldn’t get out and had to wait till bedtime. This was probably user error but I was not happy. I am scared to add more animals because taking care of one chicken and one sheep already tacks me. I seriously look forward to rainy days because they are confined and the crops are watered. This brings up another point, I love the endless storage but I just want an add all and an easier way to organize. I sound like I don’t like the games but I do like it, just want it a little fine tuned.

  13. To be fair there is a lot to get into with this game and that can be both exciting and intimidating. Either way this game stands out as a farming game for me. Defoes look forward to trying it. :3

  14. I don't have a huge problem with the day speed in general. I've played farming sims for nearly my whole life and i'm very much used to any kind of ingame clock.
But what stresses me out massively is, that time goes on while I'm in certain menues. When I'm scrolling through my storage or my crafting stations I feel so extremely stressed because of the timer that's gonig on in the right corner. I would like to compare different recipes and look what could bring me the most. But I feel so stressed, that I just throw in anything without thinking much, because I feel so much pressure. I can't even think in peace about an animal's name.
In every other farming sim I've played the timer stops, when I'm in any kind of menu. This is the only change to the game that I desperately wish for. The whole game ist so cozy, but this single point nearly ruins it for me.

  15. Eine Schnelltaste für Tränke wäre super – damit man in Dungeons nicht ständig das Inventar öffnen muss um zum Beispiel einen Schadenstrank zu trinken um Gegnern Schaden zuzufügen.

  16. Day speed has always been my number one gripe since the days of Harvest Moon 64! Having the option to change the speed would be so wonderful 💫! I always feel like I'm just going "GO! GO! GO!" before the day runs out. That's not relaxing or cozy 💢😤. Another thing I'm curious about is what happens after you get married. I don't see a lot of videos about that. At least with games like Harvest Moon etc. the spouse will usually do something to help out on the farm.

From the one video I did see it did not look very promising that will happen. I haven't quite gotten there yet in taking the plunge with Jack. It would be very nice to see if the spouse will actually do something useful for you on the farm. Like Jack can collect different types of logs and turn them into lumber. Or Nhamashal can basically do the same but with rough gems in polishing them for you to use or sell. Can't remember if having kids will be a thing either.

It did say more free content will be released between December 2023 and June 2024. But who knows what it will all entail. I wonder if they have a page where players can make suggestions on that might make it into the game maybe 🤔.
