Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Burnley at the City Ground on Monday night after Callum Hudson-Odoi scored a brilliant goal to earn a point.
Matt Davies is joined by Greg Mitchell, Emily Anderson and former Reds midfielder David Prutton to break down the game, including VAR decisions leading to a disallowed goal and a red card. We also discuss team selection and formations as well as the full Premier League debuts of Ibrahim Sangare and Gonzolo Montiel.

Thought the fans were awful last night truth be told. Burnley kept them quite in fairness to them but you could sense the entitlement. Theres only so many half arsed "magic on and off the pitch" chants you can sing before it gets old quick. Take the point when we didnt play great.
Agree with that montiel was at folt for that goal worrall played well had a good game
Can all the fans screaming for a 4231 formation now see why we don’t play it? It doesn’t work. Hughton and Sabri tried it. You’re outnumbered in the middle. It might work with Felipe and Niakhite at the back as opposed to Worrall and McKenna
Problem with MGW and I’m a fan and would still pick him as things stand, is that he seems to have ability but not consistent and he try’s tricks in the wrong places at the wrong time. Not sure about his football intelligence at times
THE REF NEEDS TO SEE WHAY HAS HAPPEND HENCE GOING TO THE SCREEN
All players start out not worth much and unrecognised it’s about trying to find them before they get to be known and their worth a lot of money
Missed opportunity last night but hopefully we gel together asap
Cooper doesn't have the squad to sustain 4-2-3-1: He chose to only have a total of 6 attackers in his squad. He decided to bin Scarpa and Dennis. Cooper didn't need to include Kouyate and Toffolo in the squad. Cooper has no proper player option to directly replace MGW at CAM. He only has two proper widemen.
I don't want to see McKenna start another league match for Forest this season. He's injury cover only.
When reviewing this match, we need to consider that not only did Forest play with a very different system, but… (i) there were four outfield changes in personnel to the starting XI (two of which were enforced through injury); and (ii) four new players made their first league starts for us, and three new players were making their debuts (two of the players being the same ones). And (iii) Cooper has only had a few days to work with many of the new signings due to international duty. Let's be realistic and not expect too much too soon.
I don't understand why Cooper included four holding CMs amongst the subs. Why didn't he include Williams on the bench instead of one of them? 🤷♂
A mixed performance. Kudos to Cooper for picking such an attacking XI; I was very surprised.
MGW's form has been poor this season. He's needs a kick up the @rse. Drop him. He has no competition for his position – which is Cooper's fault for excluding Scarpa.
Sangare was great for the first 30 minutes. I thought he controlled the game well, he was a 9/10 for that early period.
This channel loves Worrall, McKenna and Yates. 🙄 None of them are good enough to be regular starters. We need a new team captain and another vice captain.
Yates can't play in a CM two; he can't pass! First name on the team sheet?! WTF. Your panelist talks rubbish.
Hudson-Odoi was the first Forest player to score on his debut in 25 years! 😯
I'm guessing this was seen by Cooper as a 'bedding-in' match. An opportunity to parachute the new talent in and learn any lessons quickly. I'm not surprised there were a couple of stumbles and mistakes. Given our team culture I'm confident the new signings will gel and connect nicely soon.
Thanks again all
Sorry.. I love both centre half’s but if we play that formation again for me… we have bigger and faster players that can do a much better job.. and I’m not a fan of someone babysitting others…eg… Filipe and wozza… it can’t happen anymore
Montiel needs time….Premier is the best Leauge in the world!! He’s not and has no clue what he was coming into… it’s a class above
Sangare for me…. Solid 6/10
Fantastic work Matt👍🏻💯🥰❤️🏹🏹🌳🌳
Thanks Emily…. Great minds think alike 💯👍🏻
Love Brennan and wish him well!!! But let it go😱😱😱🙄🙄🙄not our player now
Couldn't believe you quizzed Greg on what was wrong with MGW , where have you been ? His pass completion percentage is in the bottom 3% of the Premier league of players in a similar position. Great work rate just needs to keep it simple sometimes . Two points dropped I feel.
Worrall isn’t good enough. Pace is only a part of it. His positioning and marking is Championship level. Nice lad, no disrespect, but it’s a world class league, and you need more than a pack of chewing gum and a local back story. He’s off the pace, and it’s going to cost us.
Great show. Funny too.. thanks 😊👍
The quality overall of all the teams in the Prem is so so high! Can’t expect to jump to consistent levels so quick, it’s the worlds strongest league by far for a reason. We will have these frustrating games against good and bad teams. That’s how it will be, we will grow.
