This Let’s Play series is over 1,000 hours of building one map into the most chaotic megabase Factorio has every seen. Playing more for the LOLs than the SPM.
Rejecting the cut and paste technique and refusing to use other players second hand blueprints a true megabase was born.
For those who don’t know
Factorio is a real-time strategy and simulation game Players, as lonely engineers stranded on an alien planet, build a self-sustaining industrial empire to construct a rocket and escape.
And hopefully keep going afterwards to build a megabase 😉
Starting with basic resource gathering, players mine iron, copper, coal, and stone. Initially manual, these tasks quickly become automated using conveyor belts, inserters, and machines. Efficient factory design is key, involving strategic placement of belts, inserters, and power sources.
Electricity management is crucial, evolving from steam power to advanced sources like solar panels and nuclear reactors. Players research new technologies, unlocking advanced machinery and defensive structures, and must produce science packs to progress.
The alien planet’s native creatures, called biters (baddies), grow aggressive with increased pollution, necessitating defence measures such as turrets and walls, adding a tower defence element.
Optimisation is a core aspect, with players constantly refining factory layouts for efficiency. This trial-and-error approach rewards creativity and problem-solving.
Factorio has a strong modding community, offering mods that extend replayability and alter gameplay mechanics. Multiplayer support allows for collaborative or competitive play, enhancing the social experience. Although in this series there are no mods, vanilla all the way baby.
In short, Factorio combines strategy, simulation, and automation, appealing to those who enjoy complex problem-solving and industrial management, supported by continuous development and a vibrant modding community.

I love when youtube recommends some guy I've never heard about and after the first 5 seconds I go "Yeah this video will be nice"
When you were taken out by your own spider i literally laughed out load, maybe yellow rockets would be a good idea 🙂
spiders can also have remote controls btw but they're a little more complex than the, very simple to use, artillery remote
you were attacekd at 21:45 walked over the bodies multiples times and was still worried about it at 25:00 you can see them coming in when you have the map opened your one spiderbot just defended like a champ. also you added logistics to the spidertron AS FAR AS IM AWARE logistics is hub only your personal robopacks wont control them
Possibly the most British thing I've ever seen is implementing planning laws into Factorio
