25 Creatures We Still Haven't Seen In Fallout [Invertebrates] | Fallout Lore

Fallout has no shortage when it comes to creatures there’s hundreds of them we can encounter during our time in The Wasteland. Sometimes they are friendly, sometimes they are passive and other times they attack either seeking to protect their territory or to make a quick meal. But there are creatures that we have yet to see, creatures mentioned only in random encounters, passing comments or in pictures and paintings and all things alike.

  1. Stingwings are not dragonflies but mutated scorpionflies

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!

The Legendary Bloatfly is another creature that uses electricity (plasma) but I can’t believe Clark would have seen this creature and not mentioned it’s green aura/tint. Fear not it will appear in its own video alongside the other legendary creatures. Also, Odonates includes Damselflies and the Labium mouthpart is typically seen only in nymphs, the immature form, but adults could have maintained this feature through mutation. If you enjoyed the video, please leave a like!

  2. Naw cause I don’t want to be anywhere near a real life fallout universe where there are massive spiders and leeches strong and big enough to ultra suck the blood out of a super mutant in one go.

  3. What if the "electric light" he saw from the bugs was actually a chemical reaction?

The other night, I saw a green light flashing. I literally thought I dropped my vape. I walked towards it. It was dark. I just figured it was a headphone, my dad's phone, a vape, something electronic.

I shined my flashlight when I got right up on this green flashing light.

It was a damn firefly/lightning bug.

There is a possibility that in fallout, the firefly developed an ability to shoot their chemical reaction, which would look much like a small flash of light.

Anyone in the wastland who is uneducated on chemical reactions or how those bugs work may associate it with electricity.

So there is a chance they are shooting their glow juice as a weapon and that dude misunderstood what he was actually seeing.

  4. I've always thought it was weird that sci-fi always depicting radiation making things giant. Back when bugs were gigantic the earth had much much higher levels of oxygen. One would think that bombing the hell out of the world would reduce the amount of oxygen during the blast as well as the insane amounts of deforestation already done in the Fallout world Pre-war and afterwards. Logically bugs should have gotten smaller. But i suppose that the reduced competition and predators who prey on insects could also open new slots in the food chain that would naturally be filled by the surviving creatures. Everything in nature has it's job, if the job isn't being done then evolution will find a way to fill the position.

  5. Speaking of unseen creatures in the fallout universe, im surprised we haven't seen any snakes. Rattlesnakes would be a thing in Nevada where New Vegas is set, but the only mention we get of a giant snake is with the Viper raiders who's backstory that was cut from fallout 2 was that they used to feed people to a Giant viper.

  6. Tbf you can at the very least hear Cicadas in Fallout 4 while exploring. I can only assume that unlike many other arthropods, the cicadas were largely unaffected by the Great War and subsequent radiation thanks to their habit burrowing and staying in their nymph form for several years or even over a decade.

  7. As Bethesda is running this franchise I doubt very much that we will see most of these creatures or lore or locations, it went from being a destroyed and dark world with a touch of comedy to being a futuristic cartoony thing.
Is funny as well that the West Coast has the most interesting lore and creatures and the East Coast is bland. lol

  8. I think having starfish esc traps would be pretty cool, like near the beach there are huge player sized ones that make there skin look like the surroundings then if the player comes close they activate like Venus fly traps

  9. One of the only things known of the great midwest commonwealth is the existance of Rad Wolfspiders. They are intellegent enough to know humans dont provide enough food to sustain them, so they acctually became domesticated, and allow humans to use them as pack animals in exchange for large bugs to consume.

  10. Leeches have an anticoagulant/anesethic in their saliva. If a 2 foot leech bit you, almost regardless of the bite's location, you would bleed out. You would need a coagulation agent like Quik Clot. Basically you would have to treat any bite as a heavy arterial bleed. And they swarm…

  11. Nah if they add things like the fucking giant centipede and giant spiders they need to throw an arachnophobia switch in the settings I just about tolerate a centipede but fuck spiders and arachnids I can’t even stand the cave crickets already in Nuka world and 76 because they look so fucked up I can’t get over their legs

    Creatures I’d rather see instead

Giant English scorpions – would be awesome

Gigantic Rats – cool design if they go for the OG look in new vegas/3

Freakishly Taller Ghouls (slender man height would be scary to see their figures through a fog)

Giant Sea Monsters and sea creatures of all kinds

    Mutated Bison

Mutated birds and even giant eagles? That would be awesome
