Companies rise and fall all the time, but some leave behind stories that are too interesting – or heartbreaking – to forget. From game-changing tech startups to hundred-year-old department stores, and even the odd movie studio, the last decade has seen some pretty big names vanish. Whether it was due to shifting trends, financial missteps, or just plain criminal behaviour, each of these companies made their mark before disappearing from the scene. Here are 25 Companies We Lost in the Last Decade.

🎉 1,000 th like 🥳
Talk about a tone deaf List 25 topic.
Mike I can't believe 99 cents store no longer exists I bought Valentines Day gifts this January!!! I still have a macaw crystal that I bought in Pier Imports 😊
Big hug from northern México ❤🇲🇽
I was homeless, did drugs, went into prison, where I got to know God.He changed my life. Now I have a home,a wife and a lovely year old daughter (Zoe), and a stream of income that gets me $47,000 weekly. Plus a new identity -a child of God, Hallelujah 🇺🇸❣️❤️❤️
Surprised you didn't have Sears.
I worked at their Woodland Hills Mall branch in Tulsa in receiving (longest-running receiver) from 2002-2019 when they closed
Now, it's as Scheels.
You missed Barns and Noble
Too many USA Only Companies on your list ahhh
Barney's New York is all boarded up now and the whole street is homeless drug neighborhood now.
We used to call our Blackberry phones "crackberrys" because we couldn't put them down. Very few kids owned one as they were mostly used by us adults that worked 60+ hours a week. We didn't go anywhere without them and we were always on them. So basically they were the phones that anyone from age 5 to 105 have today. 😂
Man I would have went to teavana if I would have known about it. I can never find anywhere that is just solely your tea shop
I love wet seal. It had even cuter clothes in the 90s and early 2000s. The thing is is that it was not affordable to me so I couldn't really shop there like that.
Isn't there still one open with Blockbuster
11:26 American apparel being shut down is so telling of the times. No fair wages, only sweatshop clothes. And the jobs sent to Central Americans.
The funny thing about Blackberry is it was found guilty of patent infringement in europe and should have shutdown/gone bankrupt long before it did. The US government stepped in and refused to enforce punitive damages due to the fact that so many government employees used them for official business. It wasn't a secret, but massively under reported.
Is it weird that I don't really care about any of these going out of business? I'm from Scotland so I guess I wasn't really affected.
Freds Dollar store and Pharmacy, (basically a mini Walmart) Started in 1947 – 2019 originally called good luck stores, then one of the brothers changed the name to Freds after the oldest brother, they had 396 stores with 155 pharmacy's in 15 southeastern states.
You missed Toys R Us??????? Really?
Dollar tree isn't dollar tree no more it's $1.25
Toys r us
Radio shack
I missed blockbusters video and modells.word up son
How did Sears not make this list ?!?!?!
Mike, I love you, you make watching fun and interesting, don't ever change
99only isHUGE in Arizona! Wish they would expand Eastward….many low income families shop there…miss it very much since moving to Missouri to be closer to parents and kid brother family…I shopped there EVERY weekend!
Otherwise…20 of these ive NEVER heard of!!! 😆😆
I know you mostly, do American brands as that is your predominate market, could you please do UK brands that have been around for a very long time who went bust i.e. BHS, Wolthwoths. Thank you for the great videos.
Private equity has ruined many businesses in this video. Sports Authority, Sears Kmart, 99cents store. They strip the assets and load the companies up with hundreds of millions of dollars of debt. Then bankruptcy follows. It should be illegal.
