  1. Nice to see Nikko demonstrating good self control through some adversity in the round. Gotta believe that if he can maintain focus like that consistently, he might have his best PDGA days ahead of him.

  2. Big Jerm unintentionally nailing the dendrologist call then undermining himself with the shift to the less accurate arborist title… Trust your gut! Loving the vibes of the format and the hard work, Jomez!

  3. Nikko is foot faulting on his step putts.

    That's two I've seen.

The thing about him is he's brought this spotlight onto himself.

He chose to play a sport for a living, which means he's an entertainer, which basically means he subject to fans' judgment, opinions, and dependent upon their good opinion and interest.

Lots of players in the sport have attention on them, most of them for good reasons, the ones that have it for bad reasons brought it upon themselves, including Nikko.

So now, if he isn't perfect then he's going to get called for it.

I didn't even watch it that carefully, but I saw in his first round two clear step butts on which is left foot was on the ground before the disc was out of his hand.

His score should be two higher.

Also, the sport has gotten big enough there needs to be some officiating out there, at least for the cards uncoverage, aka, for players in contention at major tournaments.

Eventually it should be every card at every tournament.

Until then, you really can't allow a player like him in your sport.

It's been back a few months and he's already cheating in other ways, being disruptive, you can see other players don't like playing with him, he's unrepentant and unchanged.

Like you can see that he's trying to keep it in check, but at the same time being a little bitchy about it.

Watches he quick-walks up to his disc multiple times.
As if highlighting what he considers to be the unfair treatment he believes he's received.

  4. I have to say … I love watching Nikko Locastro play disc golf. Good to see him again on lead card coverage. Adding Matty-O (off a big win), Calvin (off a big season) and Chris (home state) is such a contrast of styles, considering the long, twisting layout; just forcing every golfer to show absolute mastery. But watching Nikko is my favorite: the lines; plus, he chucks it. A LOT of people, like me, learned to throw by watching Nikko; like, a lot. So, props, Nikko; I'd love to play with you, sometime.

  5. Let’s be honest, there’s zero chance Nikko’s drive came back in bounds on 15. They just gave it to him because nobody wanted to deal with his wrath.

  6. Gotta say it, because the voice makers are always the ones tha are negative. The new score WORKS. People just can't let go. It works. You get the four scores after EVERY. SINGLE. HOLE. You can look then. Is that really that hard? Meanwhile, we're getting new features that are useful, remember that this is round 1, but we're paying them with negativity…
