Played 9/10 games! One of them wouldn’t load. Here are my FEELINGS about it! (Also I got a birthday present on stream (PURPLE Playstation controller!!!!) Was looking at them for what I wanted to put on my wishlist and also play on stream deck (which I don’t have right now)
– City of Beats: dual stick combat, pretty – might be better with a controller – definitely one of those where you need to level up things to get farther, so dying a lot haha (Wishlist, Stream Deck)
– Lumote: cute blob and fun color graphics, shifting perspective puzzle game, interesting mechanics, pretty typical but preeeeetty (you can actually buy this one right noooooaw. Stream Deck)
– Mail Time, would not load. No time for that.
– Puzzles for Clef: soooo much exposition in a DEMO but. Side to side game play, cute graphics, could be an interesting story
– Rusted Moss: side to side, pixelated, jump puzzles, interesting story hints, did not get super far but I would like to try it again! (Wishlist, Stream Deck)
– Tera Nil: new favorite game. Resource management game restoring the destroyed wilderness. I LIKE it. A bunch. Like. Had trouble stopping so I could finish the demos haha (super Wishlist)
– The Wreck: seemed sort of Edith Finch-y? You choose dialogue options in a couple of different ways which drives the story. You can either click the comic book big word (usually a swear word) or a highlighted word in the captions for her dialogue, or an offered dialogue choice at the bottom – all at different times haha. Wasn’t in the mood today but might be cool. Voice Acting was fun.
– Valley of Shadows: Nope. Clunky game play, not great graphics, WEIRD voice acting, story progressed thru real looking photo graphs in a very game looing environment, and there was what sounded like a psychiatrist talking her patient thru some trauma which just. And THEN there were shadow people and they murmured and I was OUT.
– Way of Rhea: Puzzle game, very color based, BUT they use symbols as well AND they have Accessibility options to change the colors so you can tell between the 3 you need for the game. SO COOL. Characters were goofy, like a shrew riding a motorcycle, assuming that will make sense later – or not! (Wishlist, Stream Deck)
– Writer’s Block: solid word game, cutesy graphics, would be good as a keep me calm and gently work my brain game like if I am waiting for something (Wishlist, Stream Deck)
Whew! That was only 10 of them. They were th eones that looked itneresting to me from the PaxEast Steam page. Might go look again or might just finish the demos I have in case they disappear this weekend haha. Wish I could go to cons but. Plague. — Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/likesevenspoon
