20 Year Legacy Project

Nearly fifty years ago I drew a map of a world that didn’t yet exist.I named I Elsewhere. Being dyslexic meant I couldn’t write about that world so instead I started making it in porcelain and painted it in tiny detailed fantasy paintings. I did this for twenty years before the collectors of my work from around the world asked me to tell my stories of that World, but I still couldn’t so I became a traditional storyteller travelling eventually around he world. I told over 50’000 stories to well over a quarter of a million people. 12 years ago I began this Legacy Project by setting out to write a 9 book series called The Realms of elsewhere. This short film captures the essence of my long journey. It also captures the sense of elementals and nature that has always been at the centre of my work. In the stories ~my world of Elsewhere is having to battle with a shadow Lord and a Merchant who both create Unnatural storms. They are wreaking havoc on the world and are determined to destroy everything! However there is one glimmer of Hope left in that world and it begins to take the form of an Uprising against the tyranny that they are all facing. Fortunately there was a child born with a Hidden Destiny and the Tyrant is fearful of this child and is determined to find out why the child has so much power. Those protecting the child then go to extraordinary lengths to bring the destiny to fruition.
