  1. this rerecord really highlight the 80s sounds with additional synth and more enhancing bass sounds (and guitar riff) like FINALLY. the stolen version really lacks the 80s feels into it except i wish you would. it's overwhelming at first listen but i promise you'll be fine, you'll get used to it. i'm glad taylor really perfected this album 'cause this is how 1989 should be

  2. This is the most disappointing album of the decade. The production sounds cheap & unprofessional on more than one remake. The vault tracks sound like Midnights rejects. Midnights is her most forgettable & lackluster album so these can kindly go lock themselves back in the vault for several more years, ok?

  3. Shameful Admission Time – to me, 1989 has always been a singles album, as in I would listen to everything through to Wildest Dreams and then stop. I know, I know, I suck, but this was entirely due to coming to Taylor circa Reputation/Lover and becoming swiftly obsessed with those albums and partially blind to her others. Don’t get me wrong, I was more than familiar with all her singles and bits and pieces of the earlier stuff, but I guess I was too pre-occupied with Reputation-Midnights and various other singers to do my due TS diligence. So yeah, these TVs have really opened my eyes to her full body of pre-14 work and have promoted the previously-ignored I Know Places, Better than Revenge and Haunted into my All-Time Top 13 Taylor tunes.
