  1. The cloud model is a bit up the shit for 25kft as you break out. There isn't Altostratus (As) and Stratocumulus (Sc) up there because these are mid level clouds.
Cirrus (Ci), Cirrostratus (Cs) and Cirrocumulous (Cc) is what you get up there and Cumulonimbus (Cb) tops when there's thunderstorms. The way it is there's cloud layers going beyond 40,000ft ffs!. Depending on latitude there isn't much cloud over about 30,000ft perhaps the occasional Ci or Cb top.
I almost sicked up at this monstrous inaccuracy. For the love of god someone let the devs know before I have a brain aneurysm.

  2. Argie here! Today is My birthday and for me this is a gift. The start of both attacks gave me chills, from the Daggers and then the Skyhawks. Those pilots are my real life heroes since I studied the war by myself (In the school they thaught us political BS, so we feel sorry for our soldiers, and not proud).
This reenactments/play is like the movie we Will never have about those pilots. Thanks a Lot and keep it up the good work!!!
Respect for all the fallen, from both sides.

  3. My friends dad was a Sergent in the Marines and actually shot down an A4 during the landings. Shares the credit with one of the frigates I believe! Crazy to think he saw this for real.

  4. well some sidenotes as for realism:

Most important thing is that it was a gret mission, really close to the real thing, main limitation is the game itself…

    1) Lack of Daggers/Mirage5 only left you guys with the option of using Mirage 2000, a way more advanced aircraft with a much more powerfull engine
    2) Game does not mod malfuctions. In real life on that scale of operations malfuctions in both aircraft and air defense systems does play a role
    3) ingame Rapiers and Sea Darth are way more lethal than 1982 version of the system. I think those systems are modded after later versions, versions that were indeed upgraded after the 1982 conflict due to the mediocre results protecting airspace against semi-obsolete strike aircrafts
    4) a bomb hit does not equal a bomb exploding, a lot of Argentinean bombs were duds due to the low altitude drop problem. i'd say 1/2 bombs were duds in the attack, so you get a somehow historical outcome of 2 ships sunks out of 4 hits
    5) i was expecting a 25% to 40% aircraft downed… 100% down its not realistic but what can you do except reducing air defenses (only 1 rapier, no stinger sq) and live with getting 75% aircraft downed

  5. Obviously better to attack en masse than one or two at a time. Computers, missile systems, gunners ALL have much easier time with just one or two to spot assess target. Better to orbit on far side of island, form up, go in as a group… one long line 5 seconds apart??

  6. What about a low level to pop up dive bomb attack??? More time to spot and target best ships to hit? (Anything by the combattant ships… anything ship carrying men/supplies.

  7. So…. whats the benefits of attacking/launching attacks during really bad weather? – Who would this benefit – maybe electrical storms… low visibility etc… It seems all scenarios are calm and sunny days… this would make aircraft shooting down missiles impossible? So attackers benefit?
Can you simulate a surprise attack on a deffo win in perfect weather that would change if weather favoured the bold?
