It's risky showing protests in other countries by the CCP, such as in the US. The Chinese people have been excessively brainwashed by CCP each day, for example blowing sunshine up the ass of Xi all the time, so seeing an actual protest in another country can be interpreted by intelligent Chinese by thinking; "why can't we have the right or oppertunity to protest?"

If China ever does invade Taiwan and try to take it over, the US will absolutely decimate every single semiconductor manufacturing facility that exists there. They will not allow China to get their hands on a single facility. You will see a scorched earth policy on Taiwan and the US will give refuge to every person who has anything to do with those facilities to ensure that they can continue to maintain their hold on the market.
