  1. It’s funny cause Pokémon Violet is probably my MOST played Pokémon game. It’s a real shame that the performance is terrible and the lack of Voice Acting really takes you out of the immersion. Hopefully gen 10 will step things up!

  2. I like having the physical of Fae Farm on Switch. As a physical collector mostly, that's a plus for me. Btw, did you ever get to try Little Goody Two Shoes? I know it is very dark but cozy with relationships. It is weird! I just adore the characters and it being indie and a great version on Switch, yet no one is talking about it.

  3. When Fashion Dreamer was announced, I was so hyped because I love a good dress-up style game, especially with that kind of aesthetic and style. However, I do agree that it should have only been like $30 instead of $60 at launch because it’s pretty slow when you start out and even after playing for a few hours you’d probably need a change of pace and switch to another game to break up the monotony. As I’ve played more and more, I’ve been able to unlock new hairstyles, eye colors and styles, etc. but again, it is NOT fast-paced. Not a terrible game, but I wouldn’t recommend unless you really love dress-up or styling and then taking pictures lol

  4. I think the problem with the switch is that it does not really lend itself to any genre of game other than cozy games because of its graphic/framerate limitations. This would be okay if they would admit that they can't make high-resolution and smooth-running games and if their prices reflected this. I just purchased Fae Farm for £37 at Argos, but if I got it from Nintendo it would have been about £50. Although I am really enjoying the game, I do think that even £37 is so overpriced, especially considering the fact that it is quite jumpy and has crashed on me a couple of times. Hopefully, the new console that they are making will address these issues. If it wasn't for the fact that I like the convenience of the Switch (being able to play docked or handheld) I think I would have given up on it along time ago.

  5. I regret buying Fashion Dreamer to this day. It's so overpriced and you have little to do. Basically the goal is to collect as many clothing as you want and dress other people. But yeah , that's mostly it, The game feels so empty and soulless, surely Style Savvy was alot better. Absolutely not worth buying for €49,99 euro.

A Wonderfull Life is pure nostalgia for me since I have the Gamecube edition too. But the game has been shortened down ALOT which makes me sad.

  6. I admit I was disappointed to see Splatoon 3 on this list, though you do have a point about the casuals having abandoned it, leaving the tryhards. I have noticed that the average Turf War randos’ skill level is markedly higher than in Splatoon 2

I’ll be frank though… I think what keeps me so gung ho about Splatoon 3 right now is the party atmosphere of Splatfest, and the anticipation of them. Splatfest has always been my favorite part of the franchise. When Splatoon 3 was first announced, I had likely my most over-the-top reaction ever, prompting others to say they hadn’t seen me that excited in YEARS! 🤣

All in all though, I still can’t tear myself away from the game. I can’t get enough of it!

  7. I feel the need to point out that gamefreak the creators of the games DOES NOT also make the anime so that's totally unrelated to the games in regards to cutscenes.

But I feel gamefreak just keeps getting lazier by the game. Heck they even cut back on the dex to 'add content' in sword and shield although they initially claimed them made all the Pokemon models from scratch which was disproved by a YouTuber I don't care for turning my Pokemon giant and the dynanax Pokemon could easily have been new megas instead. But I love the tera forms in s/v and the story in s/v feels more fleshed out than part gen games most of which was a copy paste bad team trying to take over using legendaries and you need to defeat them while on your journey to become champion.

  8. I don't regret getting Link's Awakening, but as someone who played the original version on their very first personal handheld system, I have way more nostalgia for it than younger people. Older Zelda games do need some out of game direction, which used to be provided in the game manuals, which makes it tough to play them in this day in age where game manuals just don't exist anymore. I'll admit I did look up a guide when it was time to get to Animal Town, since I hadn't played the game in over 20 years, and I've continued using it for the secret seashells.

  9. Unpopular take: I regret buying Iconoclasts (physical)! I found the puzzles and bosses to be obtuse, the story confusing (and perhaps overrated) and the characters forgettable. The ending was bizarre as well, but I think the 'whole point' of it all may have been too highbrow (brilliant?) for me to appreciate. I regularly contemplate selling it, and I adore my switch collection (100+ games, <60 physical).

  10. Two of my favourite games being on this list… well, I don't regret buying them. Despite glitches and even crashes (yes, I experienced those too), Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was still very enjoyable game to me. I even daresay it's one of my most favourite Pokémon games. Detective Pikachu Returns is also something I was looking forward since finishing the first one for 3DS. And, honestly, if you played that, you would've know what to expect from this one, so, you wouldn't be disappointed. If you didn't, though, and expected something on par with the Sherlock Holmes games, for example, then, yes, I can understand your disappointment. But still, and I am sorry to write it this bluntly, but expecting Pokémon games not to be for kids is a little silly to me.
But there was game I personally regretted and that was Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. These games were just meh, from graphics that was worse than first two 3DS Pokémon games, through game mechanics that just weren't on par with modern Pokémon games, to the fact they ignored any improvements Platinum did, these games just did everything wrong and almost nothing right. And the result was very painful and hard to enjoy experience. I was, probably, naive, to think that the creators will know they are remaking one of the weakest Pokémon game pairss and will improve them, like all the previous Pokémon remakes did. However, not only they did not improve anything, but they also, somehow, made the whole experience worse than Platinum and that's something. In the end, BDSP became the worst Pokémon remakes and ones of the worst Pokémon games ever. And definitely the worst Pokémon games on Switch. And this comes from someone who never liked Let's Go games and hopes we will never see more of them. But I still, sort of, enjoyed those games, which I can't tell about BDSP. So, that's my regret purchase for Switch.

BTW, Everdream Valley was released on Switch? Man, I had no idea, until I saw this video 😅 On PC, I really enjoyed that game, but playing this on Switch? Man, I dunno about that.

  11. I didn't know Coral Island was not finished… 😮 I'm so disapointed 😢 now I just want to stop playing, wait until it's finished and, knowing me, I will start over my game because I'm always afraid of missing things 😂😢 thanks for the info
