Mandatory must have complete background check before being allowed to have children. If that were in place when I was first married I never would have had kids. both my kids by my first husband nearly hate me because I married late in life to a good man, and now they can't control what I do or say. I live near to where Harold Shipman committed his crimes. The loss of life wasn’t just those he lethally dosed, it was all the elderly people in the county and elsewhere in the country who would no longer call or trust a Dr when something was wrong, would self medicate with bad consequences or just let their ill health get the better of them. The terror he spread, effectively killed them too. He’s probably responsible for something more like 1000 deaths. He caused irreparable damage to patient/Dr trust and that fear is still effecting elderly populations today.

The murderers of 10 year old Victoria Martens should definitely be on a list like this. What her mother, her mother’s boyfriend and the boyfriend’s cousin did to her in 2016 in Albuquerque, NM was unimaginable. In addition to the regular abuse she endured, after they killed her, they dismembered her body in the bathtub. This is another case where CPS was involved but, failed little Victoria.
