  1. Be careful for your fingers if you get close to your rose bushes!
If you take that energy with you outside, you could dig a swimming hole out there in no time! The boys would love it.

  3. I grew up with the many versions of Billy. I was all of 13 years old when 'Most people I know think that I'm crazy' was ubiquitous. Big rockers were so loved in Australia; ACDC came from the same mould. I moved on to prog rock in the 70s, but I can't deny his incredible influence.

  4. Hi Lee. I am back and so cool to hear my mate Billy being reviewed again and the songs l often mention. Billy only ever played at one volume and at one stage his sound guy was Lobby Loyde who was stone deaf from playing in his own band. I saw The Zoo play at a pub and Lobby was the sound guy and the music went through you and Billy actually apologised. It was like a nuclear explosion of sound. I have so many stores and memories of Billy. A true blue Aussie rocker who loved playing in pubs. Cheers to all. ‘Rock and Roll ain’t noise pollution.’😎

  5. Hello Leland: thanks for the rock and roll wake up song. I have to say this sounds like the early 60's rock and roll. I can see the strobe light flashing and the crowd dancing the night away. I also believe you like this also by the smile and shaking and bopping that you were doing. I hope you and the pups have a great day see you tomorrow. I also agree with you on the weather problems in the south, how much can these people deal with.

  7. With climate change wrecking havoc the way it is, I'm thinking we should pay much more attention that needs to be paid to scientists and engineers to figure out how human kind adjust to our rapidly changing environmental situation. Because you should by now if ever you CANNOT FIGHT MOTHER NATURE!!!

  8. Thanks Leland I had forgot about Billy for a minute. I had Childern of The Sun LP love his music. I always really love the bass lines in it. Now i know why, Leland the legend was laying them down.

  9. Angus Young turned 68 yesterday! Billy Thorpe spawned Pub Rock and encouraged other bands from AC/DC to Chisel to follow suit. His legacy to straightforward Rock is massive. Thanks for the encore and singing along.🤘

  11. Maybe Children of the Sun was a sort of fluke in that he didnt expect it to take off like it did? Hearing all his other music he seemed more closely aligned with a Tommy Shondell. High energy pop/dance played on the radio alot music. He was great for a lot of reasons though to be fair.

  12. Because of covid restrictions, I was given the option of renewing my 5 year license for 10 years, and they used my OLD photo. So by the time the license expires the photo will be 15 years old!!!

  14. Something like 15 years ago or more I was working for a company from Australia doing reproductions of songs from there and that's how I discovered bands that were super famous and were one better than the other, Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs was one of them.

Billy was the iconic Aussie "Testosterock n Roll" Legend. 🏋‍♂ I'm now having flashbacks 😵‍💫from over 50 years ago…so many memories of live gigs and off stage antics, but I can't type anymore,my monitor is tearing up…😭….
