Believe it or not, this car started life as a bog-standard 1995 BMW 325. Owner Carl Balzer saved this once-dignified German sedan from the scrapyard, stripped it down to its most basic elements and then went to town creating a bonkers build.
These days itβs a street legal 1200bhp E36 go kart packing a massively turbocharged LS engine under its er, lack of bonnet. With all that power and a differential from an old M5, this thing is quite the drift machine.
Watch Top Gearβs Tuning Correspondent experience this wild build first hand and in typical Dahm fashion, push it beyond its limitsβ¦

The big Teddybear is hilarious π
Happy new year 2023!!!
that little loop on the rollcage just above the driver's head makes me nervous
Another amazing video with Rob Dahm:D
There needs to be feature on Leroy……
π₯ π
Awsome π
What a beast ππ
I really dislike this guy. You just feel how he wizzelled his way to the job
Moneyroe
How the hell is that street legal? If you hit someone with that external cage they will be mush. I guess there must be basically zero safety requirements over there. Also, I don't believe for a second it handles well. There is a huge amount of top heavy weight up front.
rob living his best life and im all here for it. we all are. i wish to get here one day
This was such a fun time!! Thank you guys for the love! Be sure to follow our YouTube channel: Hidden Motorsports

Not legal in California
You know what would be great…if TG USA actually came up with something original rather than copying everyone else…
This thing belongs on Mad Max.
Great car but no helmetπ€
πππππ
100% legal?πover here in Germany youβll be βStillgelegtβ in a heartbeatπ
WOOOOOOOOOOOW AWESOME VIDEO AMAZING FANTASTIC TOP
Can you stop with these fool? Please find someone better. This dude is a joke. Milking artist.
What Hoonigans' "Sh@tCar" should've ended up as. What a beautiful Funhaver, smiles per gallon must be priceless.
I'm Here!
Itβs Leroyβs steep brotherπ¦πΊπ
It looks like a car build in apocalypse world
uuuuuggghhhh LS swapped π΄π΄π΄
If you are talking car culture, Cleetus surely is the epicentre.π¦πΊπ
American street legal is veeery different to European street legal it seems π
The American flags upset me, everytime I see one I think of school shootings
parker nauseatein of vehicle virgins must be so jealous that rob dahm got the spot to host top gear rotflmao he has more subs
As a German it is wild to me that something like this can be street legal. I can't pack into words how much this wouldn't fly in Germany…
Hey alright I made it in at 7:30, and the vette is in the background out of focus too!
Leroy's German cousin except not so German anymore. Cleetus McFarland @CleetusM
Great dude! Glad this car is getting some attention. It's a really cool ride!
This is everything I want to build lol
I love this guys attitude. "well its already broken, let's go have fun" and ratchet straps the diff and sends it with a burnout around the bank π€£
Great series.
Street legal. Here, they'd behead you if you wanted to register this. Why wasn't I born in the States?! Why?!
IMAGINE if America could make their own exciting, special cars rather than always having to turn to tuners, modders, and garage projects. And even then, its based on a BMW.
Thanks, Top Gear, another utterly silly car, beautifully filmed. My only complaint is that the music is way too loud in places. Could you back it off a bit so we can hear the engine more?
Rob! You have to break something everytime, don't you?
Respect until i saw the Crocs
I love how the dude is like "Yeah we don't do half assed stuff around here, send it till the diff REALLY breaks!"… ππππ€
rob found something more fun than rotors
least wild build in ohio
I think it looks disgusting, gaudy, unproportioned, fabricobbled together like Frankensteins mistake and I wouldn't change a single thing about it. I absolutely love it. What a cool vehicle!
Love to see you guys at my local track Flat Rock Speedway. A nice 1/4 mile track that has a ton of history. Several NASCAR and ARCA ran at this track.
