No spoilers but there are even a couple more ways to do the "spy on the crimson fleet" missions.
Hoping to find more Earth easter eggs or side quests.
So far traveling to Earth didn't bring up anything interesting. Just randomized empty land. Disappointing
I love Almagast. I use it to get the starter note for the Mantis quest.

If you pick a trait that just isnt gelling for you anymore, some of the physical/mental ones can be removed by going to the doctor. The one i saw specifically was in the main hospital in New Atlantis.
Met Grandma and she was a sweetheart, hopefully I encounter her again
Also I encountered a ship offering about an extended warranty shot at it and then all my crew disliked that XD
i though the mysterious captain would be like the mysterious strange in Fallout. But nah, hasnt saved me yet.
I never committed any crimes went to find the va’ruun prisoner and talked to the guy at the front desk and he just arrested me I was like oh okay 😂

I'm not sure, but I think if you have Sam Coe as a companion and/or assigned to your ship, you can pilot better ships with his pilot skill.
Bonus secret: if you get a quest that gives you a space monster outfit (on titan) try wearing it when you first dock with the mysterious ship above Paradiso. Don't take Sara as your partner…

I began the uc sysdef quest line by failing to smuggle in contraband
Part of me is kind of regretting not picking the Dream Home or Kid's Play traits. Those seem like a lot of fun and the downsides aren't really that bad.
I turned down the forced enlistment into the Vanguard special forces. I was sent to Mars and was immediately flagged as an enemy of the faction.
I tried to pay off my bounty and that started the uc quest.
I got caught with contraband on the surface of Jemison that I forgot to get rid of. That's how I started the Crimson Fleet and USEF storyline.
If somebody brought this up already, I apologize, but did anyone come across the school teacher and school kids looking for help?
For my UC quest to start I boarded a spacer ship and was taking it back to the spaceport to claim it, it had contraband i had no idea it had so they scanned me near the planet and said do the mission to pay off the fine or go to jail, it gave me the i had no idea i had contraband dialog option too lol.
You were able to fast travel out of the ship, but imagine being encumbered and unable to. You'd have to load your last save to get out and hope it's a recent one 😂
If I was an executive at Bethesda, I would hide Skyrim inside Starfield on one of the planets. Just as an easter egg, you enter a planet and a tiny cutscene shows your ship crashing. Then you wake up from the wagon in skyrim. The game itself is so small you could have it in the game files easily. If that's a bit too much, I would at least put in a Dragonborn flying around in orbit of one of the planets as an homage to the giants launching the player to the sky in Skyrim.
In my first play through, I was randomly grabbed and tossed into the UC/CF questline when I didnt have a bounty (Id never had a bounty at that point), and at the end I OBVIOUSLY sided with the pirates.
This time around I think Ill do it the traditional way.
I had neon security chase me through 7 loading screens. Had to pay up 3000 no matter how many times I tried to escape lol didn't want to be a coward and fast travel my way out cause I thought it was hilarious 🤣
I triggered the crimson fleet quest line by carrying contraband into UC space, was curious to see how they would react.
I had an encounter where Nathan Evans sang a sea shanty (Space Shanty?).
Its funny that u tchnically can fly trough the atmosphere into space, just by entering an enemy spaceship 😀 I had a similar Experience, Iknew trough reddit that you can board those random encounter ships, and it took me to space too (unfortunetely I was in the cargo hold without windows when that happened :p, but I saw I was in Space when I entered the Cockpit)
But you have to be fast enough, if you wait to long the Ship will fly and you will not be able to board it, even if you already in the ramp area, the door to the ship itself will be closed and Then it will just throw you out in the sky XD
You parents will also randomly be somewhere during the game sometimes. I met them last night in the Club of Neon 😀
I was upset when I found that deal on new atlantis. No drugs to pickpocket
You can also get interrogated by the UC SysDef by getting caught with contraband also!
When u search the prison u can find that delvin Malory was locked up. Poor guy
Anyone else unlocked a location for london on earth by reading oliver twist. I was honestly supprised that they added certain locations on earth and not just a single place and barron terain
The diplomat trait is underrated 😉
If you get caught with contraband, you'll get pulled into the UC quest as a prisoner, too.
1:28 i got that dialog the first time they found my contraband i didnt even have a bounty or anything
i loved the junos gambit questline it was awesome to come across and really made me feel for juno
dang this game looks amazing when you can run it right. alas, todd doesnt care to fix the proformance issues
1:56 the end of this quest is wild. If you shot people in the missions Commander Ikanade will put you in jail and become your enemy and you have to join the crimson fleet and fight the US vigilante 🤯
