  1. Dr Mike thank you so much for your educational videos, easy to understand even for the layman, as a nurse for more than 10 yrs, I have seen what bad lifestyle can do even to your patients. At first I was concerned about my LDL which was 101, but HDL was 62 and triglycerides 51. I practice IF, eat right with regular exercise. I always look forward to your next video.   2. My LDL is 173, TG:HDL = 0.5. Should I be concerned? Did Keto (including steak and coconut oil to fry my eggs) and IF for a while but I assume the Keto is what is raising the LDL. Thoughts?

  3. I had a heart attack (I didn't pass out) three years ago at 37 due to years of bad cholesterol and not taking cholesterol medication. I end up with seven stents. Since then, I made big lifestyle changes and taking all prescribed medications. If I continue my medication, lifestyle changes, and lose weight, what are my chances of living long enough to see 75?

Correction dear Doctor, insulin resistance in the contexts of this video has nothing to do with any cells resistance to insulin, 2:20 it has to do with poisonous level of insulin in the blood that literally kills all systems in the body including cardiac. Also 2:15 cholesterol,blood pressure, obesity, diabetes fatty liver are all metabolic syndromes of insulin resistance your diagram is inaccurate.

  8. Great advice, whether you eat SAD, Mediteranean, Carnivoe, DART, etc…. processed food is treacherous – stop eating it. This means processed carbs such as bread, crackers, candy, HFCS, etc… a sausage of just meat (be careful of gas station jerkies with added sugar) does not have the same effect as a Little Debbie snack cake. I'll eat a pure beef hotdog all day long. Add some high fructose corn syrup (as some brands do) and it will definitely cause major issues.
