10 Reasons It’s Better to Have the Holy Spirit: Week 1, Day 2

One of the most amazing statements in all the Bible comes from the book of John, chapter sixteen. In this chapter, Jesus’ disciples were filled with sorrow because He told them He was leaving them. Most people today would feel the same way these disciples felt. What could possibly compare to having Jesus with you? Yet, Jesus said to them in John 16:7:

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

Jesus shocked them with these words because He was saying that having the Holy Spirit with them was better than having Him there with them in His physical body. How could that be? Most Christians would prefer to have Jesus with them just as He was with the disciples.

Of course, what Jesus said was absolutely true. We have to defer to the Lord’s wisdom that it’s better to have the Holy Spirit with and in us than to have Jesus in His physical body. But it certainly doesn’t seem like that would be true!

In his new teaching 10 Reasons It’s Better to Have the Holy Spirit, Andrew shares ten reasons why the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer is actually better than the limited ministry of Jesus when He was physically present on the earth. In this teaching, Andrew guides you step by step into a better understanding of the ministry of the Holy Spirit, enabling you to place a value on that ministry in agreement with what the Bible teaches and to see significant growth in your walk with the Lord.

  1. For me Andrew Wommack is the most enlightened and truly inspired teacher of today´s world. I will be forever grateful for his ministry. His words of truth about the unconditional love God has got for his children and that God is NOt punishing us and NOT teaching us by sending us horrible things but teaching us through the Holy Spirit made me fall in love so much with the Lord.
Whenever I can I try to pass on the true gospel which means "good news" as Andrew Wommack once said: "the news that are nearly to good to be true".

  2. Andrew, brother in our Lord Jesus Christ,
.. you'd have a lot more credence than you do, if you would be bold enough to instruct those in our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, by teaching the other approximate1/3 of the Holy Word of God Almighty,
of; ******PROPHECY****** within the Word of God… ignoring the season and times we're in, why you are willing to fail, is beyond my comprehension as one saved and sealed in Jesus Christ!

nonetheless, peace and brotherly love in our Lord! to you and yours and to all!!!

  3. It would have been more appropriate(it is my feeling only) if the word "imperative" had been used instead of "better than", so that mind of comparison would not arise among readers. Thank you for all your powerful mind changing sermons in which I have been immensely blessed. I am profoundly thankful.

  4. Makes me think of what C. S. Lewis said in his book mere Christianity. “It’s not about being a strong or faster horse, it’s about being a winged horse, a creature in like the world has never seen.”

  5. As Andrew explains how the Holy Spirit is within us and our spirit is one with the Holy Spirit, I had to close my eyes so I could imagine my soul being one with the Holy Spirit. Very powerful. Thank you
