Yo, "Speak no Evil" is bad shit insane !!! When the Danish dude discovers the secret room… but truth be told, it was red flag city up in that bitch 😭😭😭
Decision to Leave was well acted and directed but way too dark to find a mainstream audience. Its tone also was noncommittal as if it couldn't decide between Coens-like satire and tragedy. It's meant to be a romantic movie pretty clearly, yet has the tone and ending of something more like Mindhunter. No Hollywood studio would ever greenlight that ending. Kind of ruined it.
We haven't got Banshees out yet here, as I'm McDonagh fan since I saw a production of one of his plays ,I'm really waiting for this one.

"Speak No Evil" is a movie clearly made by people who HATE cinema
David Bowie was one of the most brilliant and creative people to ever exist. Even with his music he managed to alter his genre to fit the times. Before he left this world he attended the opening of his play. Not long after he was taken by a harrowing disease that most people didn’t even know he had. RIP.
As a chef, I can't imagine wanting to watch a movie about a shift from hell.
2022 Movies suck harder than a black hole, and these are no exceptions.

Literally everyone won't shut up about these, these are hardly niche. I would recommend more under-the-rader picks like "The Outfit", "Nitram", "Three Thousand Years of Longing", "Weird: The Al Yankovik Story", "Bones & All", "You Won't Be Alone", "Fire of Love", "Ultrasound", "Funny Pages", "Tar", "Blonde", "Crimes of the Future", "Men", and "Pearl".
I saw Boiling Point on my computer and am upset that I didn't see on the big screen. What a great film that more people should see.
Some of these films are so heavy with a woke agenda, its like they're beating you over the head with a narrative. No thanks.
Disagree on Speak no Evil. The ending felt like pure shock bait and didn't feel earned at all.

Decision To Leave is an interesting movie. I wanted to watch it in theaters but there’s movie theater that would release it outside of LA.
Sadly, Banshees was just performatively ‘quirky’ award-bait. The others look good, though.

I haven't seen any of these movies. I think I've seen the trailer for "Boiling Point". These movies look great. I like horror movies. I love how one of the movies on this list is part animated.

So often I watch youtube on film I should see, including this channel, and quickly forget them. I actually "rewinded" this to beginning, so that when it shows up again in my 'watch' later, I won't automatically delete, as seen before, but will watch again. For me, that says a lot, because the picks sound amazing and you are correct sir, I missed a bunch of them.

I've seen two of the films on this list and heard of three others.
I wanted to see Moon Age Daydream. It was only playing in my area for one day. I missed it.
I've seen and LOVED "Emergengy".
I saw Boiling Point and it was awful, boring and nothing to rush home to see
I've worked in hospo and Boiling Point sounds like a movie that would trigger a lot of bad things I rather not remember…
There are a couple other movies on this video I will put in my list though.
The Bowie biopic sounds like a must for someone who was a kid in the 80s too busy watching cartoons and to whom Bowie was just the quirky guy in The Labyrinth. In some level the 80s fascinates me for what I didn't see for being a kid but ended up defining who I am today so I will definitely see this one at the very least! 😊
The Northman and Everything, Everywhere… are amazing movies! Emergency sounds great, never heard of it.
I met David Bowie in a real life situation where we had a half hour to have a cuppa tea and a cigarette and just talk a very kind and smart and funny man.

One underrated 2022 film that comes to mind is "Dawn Breaks Behind the Eyes". A wild & bonkers 60s psychedelic throwback film that shifts gears in all the best ways.
