Alright, E_thin, I donât know what video youâre watching, but saying Camellya is strong? Thatâs a HOT takeâand by "hot," I mean "wrong." Letâs break this down with some actual (totally accurate) math. Spoiler: Camellya is just not it when you compare her to, say, Chixia.
First, the basics: Camellyaâs base attack is 220, and her crit rate is 10%. Now compare that to Chixiaâs 250 base attack and 15% crit rate. At first glance, youâre probably thinking, âOh, itâs just a 30 attack difference and 5% crit rate. Whatâs the big deal?â But if you do the MATH (which clearly the devs didnât), itâs game over for Camellya.
Letâs say they both attack 10 times. Chixia is critting 15% of the time, which means 1.5 attacks will crit (yes, weâre rounding decimals because Chixia DESERVES it). Camellya, on the other hand, will only crit 1 attack out of 10. Thatâs a WHOLE HALF CRIT less. Half a crit might not sound like much, but multiply that by the square root of 12 (because crits scale exponentially, obviously), and youâre looking at a 1,000% loss in damage potential.
Now letâs talk raw attack damage. Chixiaâs basic attack scales with 110% of her base, so sheâs hitting for 275 damage per attack. Camellyaâs scaling is only 105%âso sheâs at 231. Thatâs a difference of 44 damage PER HIT. If they both attack 10 times, thatâs 440 damage. But wait, letâs factor in crits! Chixiaâs crit damage is 200%, so her crit hits deal 550 damage. Multiply her 1.5 crits by 550, and sheâs adding an extra 825 damage from crits ALONE. Camellyaâs crits? A measly 462 damage, and she only gets one of them. So sheâs losing by at least 363 damage, which is practically double when you think about it (because losing is twice as bad, right?).
But it gets worse. Camellyaâs talent gives her a 5% attack boost for every 10 basic attacks. Chixia doesnât even need a gimmick like that because her crit rate scales naturally with each hit (or at least it feels like it). If a fight lasts 100 attacks, Camellyaâs getting a 50% boost to her base attack by the end. Sounds decent? WRONG. Thatâs just 110 extra attack, which brings her up to a whopping 341 damage per hit. But Chixia is already at 400 damage per hit with no talent stacking nonsense.
Oh, and donât forget elemental reactions! Chixiaâs synergy with the Flamewind mechanic lets her deal bonus damage equal to 50% of her crits every 3 seconds. Camellyaâs passive? She gets a âcute animationâ where flowers bloom after her fourth hit. Like, is that supposed to scare the boss? Unless those flowers explode for 5,000% of her attack (spoiler: they donât), itâs literally useless.
In conclusion, Camellya is the definition of âmid.â Chixiaâs damage is so far ahead that Camellya might as well be a training dummy. Please stop hyping her up, E_thin. Numbers donât lie, and the numbers say Camellya is trash-tier.
