I cannot read what is going on in that first panel for the life of me.
But that is why I stick to LN instead of manga.

I'll say this again and again, early chapters of one piece are better drawn and more focused compared to more cluttered mess of newer chapters.
Don't get me wrong, some panels in newer chapters are great, but most of them are too crowded and busy.
I still can’t get over the fact that the series worst villain (Krieg) has the same VA then my favourite villain (Akainu).

Personally I believe that Mihawk let Zoro live (cause he could have turned him into flesh mist in a single swing of he really wanted to), because I think that Zoro is the first person to face his incoming demise at Mihawks sword head on with no fear or hesitation in a long time, if not ever since Mihawk gained his reputation. I think Mihawk was curious about where Zoro's career would go bare minimum, if he didn't Haki sense a glimpse of what Zoro could truly become, and wanted a true rival to test himself against in the future
I dunno peak zoro was probably him still standing after taking all the crews pain and exhaustion
