Zombie infections are fairly interesting for several reasons. For one, they appear to fall outside the laws of biology and life itself. Second, entropy would absolutely body an infected individual, and third I mean its a zombie come on. But the infected in Zombie land are a different breed. Having been infected with a real world disease that is just as horrifying, they infected change but also seem to adapt over time. But how is this possible and what is the pathophysiology behind it? Lets discuss that in todays episode!

  1. This is the same sort of disease (though a different variant) that was Mad Cow Disease which came from England farmers saying “huh, these cows will eat just about anything.” So they fed unfit meat (much like corn stalks, grains post-brewed) to the cattle. Why? To cut costs as farming can be not-very profitable at times. Especially times like now when fertilizer is much more expensive and will be distributed down the line.

Fun fact, as long as you stay away from the brain and spinal cord, one can eat another human.
    Not an endorsement of cannibalism.

  2. “Called him Ohio instead of Columbus for some reason. Must have been a movie mistake.” Bro, you’ve never heard of Columbus, Ohio? Lol

Same with Tallahassee being called “Florida.” Tallahassee is in Florida. Ever cross your mind the girl is just making a stupid snarky joke out of their names instead of it being “another movie mistake?” I mean I suppose it’s possible 💀💀💀

I’m just going to assume you’re being tongue-in-cheek. Which would actually make this a seriously funny joke 😂😂😂

  3. Roanoke you should analyze the biology of the aliens from the anime Parasyte. I know anime isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but the alien physiology is genuinely interesting and would be a great fit for your videos.

  5. As a Californian I also agree that coming here in a zombie apocalypse is a horrible idea.
It was a hellhole before society collapsed and it's gonna be even worse after

  6. It used to be common practice to feed cattle bone or meat meal made from other cows, BSE is the reason why we no longer do that! FWIW, the practices in place at commercial meat production facilities are extremely thorough nowadays. Any widespread prion disease outbreak is so unlikely that it may as well be science fiction. Not to say cows don't get the disease, but I haven't heard of a positive case going to slaughter in decades. And it takes literal months of disease progression for the animals to die of the disease, so detecting it is fairly straightforward!

  7. I believe we need to do to viruses and bacteria what we did with our last nemesis:
domesticate them and turn them into loyal pets. we then train them to fight against other microorganisms and protect us from prions

  8. I just gotta say I love Roanoke’s videos, but Pacific Playland was filmed at Wild Adventures just outside Valdosta, Georgia, my home town. Also, the apartment was filmed inside of an old abandoned factory also in Valdosta.

  9. Careful, I love your channel, but your following is huge, and this video divulges enough personal information to get you doxxed. Just a friendly note, I'm just scared you might get a 4chan incident…

  10. I used to work in a plant that would process pecans. You'd be surprised what goes on. You have rules for cleanliness. But they were sick people all over the nuts. Handling them removing untrusted shells etc.

  11. No clue who commented that the recaps suck, I for one both appreciate and enjoy the recaps, as I am still a young adult and it interests me to learn about movies I didn’t watch because my parents wouldn’t let me.

  12. I've lost track of the cycle but it's something like vampires -> werewolves -> zombies -> repeat. The late 2000s and early 2010s was zombie in the cycle after the early 2000s was vampires and the mid was werewolves
