I feel bad for the guy. Proposed to the love of his life but is turning and instead of saying yes despite knowing what happens in the end was shot in the head. Heartbroken betrayal even though both knew they wouldn’t make it if they leave things be.

Zombies that attack through human speech. Don't attack animals. Started with a frequency? Only humans hear? Or radio waves specific to radio, TV, songs etc. Does contract through bite. Humans have to learn how to communicate or sign to survive. Spreads quickly because humans don't know the cause and how the zombies work, so yelling and talking draw them. Close zombies will also hear whispering. Deaf are naturally ammune. Partially deaf or not. Still die if eaten or extremely wounded. Too close to A Quiet Place? I don't know any other zombie movie like that
